I visited Vermillion,Ohio which is a little village on the Lake Erie. It is very nice and the village has shops and restaurants. The lake itself has a walkable access from the street, but when I visited it was brown due to the recent storms. You can see the lighthouse and go near it, which is nice. I had lunch at Big Ed’s Soda Grill and a soft serve at Coal and Ice. Overall, a nice village to visit.

Check out the town of Vermillion Ohio also know as the Venice of the Great Lakes. It lies on the shores of Lake Erie in northeastern Ohio.
Lots of local shops, restaurants, and beach space. Joe's Pizza & Pies is a family tradition in its 49th year serving residents and visitors from this same location. Pizza, subs, broasted chicken with sides along with pies (fruit and cream) and cookies are made fresh right in the shop. Don't miss Granny's Ice Cream Parlor next door.

I was thrilled to see a Great Lake for the first time! I visited in August so the water was warm and it was easy to spend a few hours combing the beach for stones and beach glass. Can't wait to visit again!

I attended the Wing Watch this weekend for the first time. It was excellent.. The speakers were knowledgeable and interesting. The event was very well organized. We enjoyed networking with other bird watchers. We purchased the tee shirts and they were very nice, good quality 100% cotton. The only suggestion I have is to make sure there are addresses to the location of the events. Would have been easier because we were out of towners.

一言で言うと、汚い。もっと綺麗な湖を想像して行きましたが、まったく汚い、汚染された湖でした。湖の前には駐車場があり、人が多く、湖周辺の公園で遊んでいる人や、ピクニックをしている人など、とにかく人気があるようには見えましたが、湖に近づくたびに、現実を知ると、個人的には、こんな汚い湖に来て、長居したいとは思えませんでした。

Really excited to finally have the opportunity to visit the great lakes. Was still a bit cool during our visit and fishing was not what we expected it to be, however due to visit a bit too early for walleye and weather conditions, we will know next time to plan better.

Lago più piccolo e meno noto del vicino lago Michigan.
Ci siamo passati e fermati per la notte durante un viaggio cosat to coast.
Posto tranquillo, dove magari assaggiare anche la specialità locale (pesce Lucioperca, in sostanza).

We took our Summer Trip to visit the 5 Great Lakes. We have to rank Erie as the 5th favorite. The shallow nature of Erie Lake clearly puts a green hue on the water as compared to the others. We actually spent more time on this Lake because we travelled from Michigan through Ohio - PA to New York.

We stopped and spent the night in Port Clinton and made a point to pull over and put our feet into the water. The beach was extremely well cared for and there was a crew out hanging up a volleyball net while we were there. Was a great site to see and wish we had planned more time to spend at the lake.

Not the largest of the Great Lakes but worth stopping for a look, we found it very peaceful and beautiful.

We are planning a road trip and the end goal is Niagara Falls. Are there stops along the way that we should do from Cleveland? We have a full day to explore along the route as we make our way there. Lighthouses? Food stops? Beaches?

Isn't two stars a bit much of a punishment ? Ultimately, a big reason that so many attractions have
such a short season is due to bad publicity like yours. It would be more helpful to describe what you enjoyed followed by what you would change. I thought that your review was a Johnny Carson Cleveland joke only to be surprised at the screen name Toledogirl.
