- Justin Timberlake — Lead vocal, harmony, background vocals, main dancer, beatboxer, visual, center, songwriter, producer, Face of the Group.
- JC Chasez — Main vocal, harmony, background vocals, center, songwriter, producer.
- Joey Fatone — Background vocals, harmony, sub-vocals, lead dancer.
- Lance Bass — Background vocals, harmony, sub-vocals, visual, Face of the Group (after Celebrity era, together with Justin Timberlake).
For rapper position, there's no consensus about who is the rapper since NSYNC always did it together, but it can be Justin since he was the one who usually doing rap during group tours, and/or Lance since he did rap on "On The Line" soundtrack.
For center position, people agree that JC and Justin are the center of the group on both photoshoots (including album/single cover) and choreography, although Chris and Lance were also center in different eras. Chris was the center of the first and the winter album and their singles' covers. Lance was the center of some singles' covers of the second album and the cover of "Pop". Joey was rarely center, only on some photoshoots.
