If you're a fan of fashion island like I am, you have to be amazed at how Fashion Island keeps re-inventing itself. Always outstanding with its array of stores and events, if you haven't been for a couple of months and you return, and when you think it can't get any better, it does. Kudos to the management for always raising the bar and making this place a destination unto itself.

Good shopping experience if you are looking to do something for a few hours. Many favorites located here. The designer shops were mostly in Neiman, Bloomies and Nordstrom but there selections were a little light compared to stand alone stores. There are also a few quick bit stops. Plenty of parking all around.

We walked around awhile looking for the restaurant we were having brunch. Everyone had masks on. Didn’t see anyone above the age of 2 without one. High end mall. Lots of expensive shops.

High end open air shopping center with a beautiful water fountain that makes soothing sounds as the water jets come together in the center. My granddaughter and I had lunch here between visits to the Pacific Marine Mammal Center and Little Corona Beach. We chose a customized pizza at Blaze Pizza.

I’m a large fan of Fashion Island. The scenery can’t be beaten and I’m fond of the smaller brands represented at Fashion Island. While I’m not the biggest fan of Fashion Island department stores, if you’re looking for something more personalized you can’t beat the atmosphere.

I like the mall, its many shops, and its restaurants, some of which are clustered together and others located throughout the mall. Good mix of retail outlets, with many offering the latest fashions, and upscale.

Fashion Island has lots of pretty ritzy stores and fancy restaurants, but it's pretty much like a regular mall except it's outdoors and has lots of palm trees and fountains. Overall, Fashion Island is incredibly beautiful, and you can really take in the beauty of Orange County. Parking is also pretty plentiful.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. If it is over priced clothing and restaurants you are after? This is the place to be. My wife and I used to live in Irvine 15 years ago and we absolutely loved going to Fashion Island. We moved to Australia in 1999 and came back to Orange County in 2005 to celebrate our 10th anniversary. It was still the same upscale shopping centre and we felt welcome and excited to be there. There was a fountain where little kids would run and play in the water. I promised we would bring our future kiddies along when we celebrated our 20th anniversary. :) Well this year we came to go to Disneyland and brought the little ones along to see Fashion Island. This time it was different. There had been a revamp with a lot of extra shops build including a large parking structure. The kids fountain was gone. The young couples with the young kids were gone. Only a lot of rich elderly people walking around with their pet dogs who would frown at every giggle and shout little kids make. (Mine are very energetic and outgoing children). We tried to have lunch at The Cheesecake Factory and it was very ordinary. The server was so obnoxious we had to ask for a different waiter to stop us from walking out. We felt unwelcome and disappointed so decided to go back to our hotel. The place has lost its soul and it is a shame. Maybe it simply reflects the society now living in Newport Beach: retired, wealthy and self absorbed. :) I hope it changes.

Don't worry, if you don't like my posting just read the next one. They will tell you how great it is. :)
