It was hard to find the car park, and in winter there is no water in the paving, but it was still a lovely place to take a stroll. Flowers were surprisingly still in bloom, there are colourful bridges that cross the canal, enough benches to enjoy the view. Also an amphitheater but need to come in summer to try that out. Graffiti wall didn't show much skill, and the place for boats is small.

I very like to this palace. Do you need relax time you must go there... ı go to with my bicycle. There is a lot of very diffrent three.

There are plenty of paths to run or walk at Nordsternpark. I went for a run on Sunday morning and passed only a few people, so it's not very busy on a Sunday. There are a couple of restaurants near by that I might try next time.

Beautiful park in a former coal mine location

Beautiful park well suited for walks and jogging. The park offers multiple viewing platforms and bridges over several rivers, as well as well-restored buildings from the former coal mine, all of which make strolling around there pleasant.

Nice park in Gelsenkirchen, located among some old abandoned coalmines. Especially in the summertime a good place to walk, bike, play or just lay around. Lots of things to do for children. And many small places to eat and drink. Check out the cultural agenda of Gelsenkirchen for festivals, exhibitions and concerts in Nordsternpark.
