This was my third and last visit to Nonna's. While my first two visits were so so, this by far was the most lack luster. Only went again because of a birthday wish for a restaurant with white table cloths, perhaps their only good feature....The meal was far less than prime, not prepared as ordered, medium does mean warm inside, right? Both dinners were ordered with fingerling potatoes, but arrived as mashed, no explaination given. The best was swatting the flies hovering over our table (we are inside) and then finally having to killing one with my napkin against the wall. Wait staff was perfunctory and indifferent, choosing to attend to another table repeatedly with more guests. Did not know what Scotch with water means, came on the rocks. When asked for it the way I ordered, she said, "I don't understand, this is the way everyone else orders it." My wife is a BIG tipper when she gets good service. NOT this time! This may be the only show in town for the moment, but for use we'll be going elsewhere in the future.More

My wife and I ate here for New Year's Eve this year. As always the food and service were incredible. Ron and Jean are always gracious hosts. We'll be back for sure. Don't forget the pizzas at lunch. Awesome!

We went for a late lunch on a weekday and and thought the ambience and service simple and delightful. The setting is charming. The limited lunch menu still had considerable variety and we had a special of home-made fettuccine with shrimp and peas in a...lemon cream sauce that was expertly prepared and delicious. We hope to return to sample the more extensive dinner menu. I would love to have a place like this very close to my house.More

We picked this for our weekly date night awhile back and have returned a few times after that and every meal was great. The ingredients always seem very fresh. Atmosphere is nice and on the quiet side which is good for a date night or...anytime you want to have a nice conversation with your meal. Our service has also always been great. It's always been chilly when we went, but I can't wait to have a meal on porch. Dessert is also yummy. Definitely recommend Nonna's.More

Extremely crowded, uncomfortably noisy and grossly over priced. My salad and entre were barely edible; and would still have been at 1/3 the price.

It looks like a nice house with a restaurant inside. All true, but this is a very special place to dine. Entrees are consistently excellent with a creativity that enhances the food rather than masking it with superfluous gimmickry sometimes found in modern restaurants. A...very good wine list. Would have really enjoyed a great breakfast, fresh flowers on each table, tasty food, nice surroundings.... but the echo chamber of noise was astounding. All else was top notch, but the patron conversations and level of noise was a deal breaker for future visits. It...looks like some ceiling sound absorbers were added, but definitely going to need something more.More

Nonna’s does not ever disappoint. There is usually someone who is not thrilled with their order when we go out, but never at Nonna’s. The specials, the regular menu items, the wine choices etc are delicious and delightful to the tastebuds. Do not hesitate to...call and make reservations. Firstly, creature comforts: Nonna’s has a warm and inviting ambience and the staff is professional. I am sensitive to loud restaurants and I have to say the owners have done a good job providing sound absorption. Even on a busy Friday night I could hear...well, which says something because I’ve been quite discriminating about hearing well in restaurants the past several years. The food was delicious! Beef Bourguignon, Chicken Scallopini, Lamb Chops were all great! No complaints! The owner (Ron) was gracious and attentive to pour wine samples to assist us in our wine selection - it’s the little things! Recommend!More

The potential clearly exists for an excellent meal, so we will certainly return, but unfortunately, our experience had a few shortcomings. The ambience is warm and inviting, particularly on a cold, fall evening. We were seated promptly at our designated reservation time (which is always...appreciated) and our table was located in the area requested by our friends, who made the reservation. The friends with whom we dined had been there several times before and knew that it can be very noisy. It was. The request for a table out of the center of the room was to try to address that. There are no materials used in the design or decor to absorb sound. It was therefore quite challenging to have ongoing conversation amongst the group. On a positive note, our server was polite and helpful in answering the usual menu/bar questions. As far as our dishes were concerned, the starters of Roasted Beet Salad, the evening's Insalata special, and the Lentil Soup were all delicious. Unfortunately, 3/4 of our entrees were just not up to snuff. The person who ordered the Wild Boar & Pasta special was disappointed, finding the meat to be very overcooked, 2 orders of Tagliatelle alla Bolognese came out at room temperature/cool and really should have been sent back. When I ate my leftovers at home and heated them to piping hot, the dish was delicious! The one hit at the table was the Chicken Scallopini. For dessert, the Chocolate Hazelnut Torte was fair. Frankly, it didn't taste like an $11 dessert (came with vanilla gelato) to me. As mentioned at the start, we will eventually revisit because we believe that the potential exists for our meal to be as lovely as other reviewers have found it to be. However, for now, our experience was a tad disappointing, and quite frankly, based upon the pricing, I believe that every guest should leave having had a fabulous experience.More
