If you watched iCarly on Nickelodeon as a kid, then chances are you remember Gibby (Noah Munck). The oddball character provided some great comic relief, plus his name was fun to say. Usually, he was there to deliver a punchline while Carly, Sam, and Freddie were at school or to help the gang with a video for their web series. There’s also a hilarious Tumblr thread about how Gibby resembles a young Bill Clinton. You can check it out here. The resemblance is uncanny!

Gibby is my favorite recurring character from iCarly and he’s arguably one of the more memorable characters from the show. If you’re wondering when Gibby made his grand entrance, then you’ve come to the right place. We have the answer for you below.

When does Gibby first appear in iCarly?

According to IMDb, Gibby’s first appearance occurs in season 1, episode 3, which is titled “iDream of Dance.” The main conflict of the episode has to do with the fact that Sam and Carly had to review dance videos sent in by their viewers, only for the last to be more daunting than they had initially anticipated. It was unclear from IMDb’s description how Gibby comes into play in the episode, but it is the first where he’s credited.

Gibby remained a recurring character until season 4, after which he became one of the main cast members.

There is no news about whether or not Noah Munck will reprise his role in the revival. I, for one, would be deeply disappointed if Gibby was not included in this new show.
