Resident of San Jose
Nicolas (Nick) Mendez passed away at his home in San Jose on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the age of 21 during his fourth battle with cancer.
Nick was born in San Jose on May 28, 1994. He graduated from Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, and received a degree from the International Culinary Center in Campbell in pursuit of his dream of becoming a chef.
Nick worked as a chef at Alexander's Steak House in Cupertino until his most recent diagnosis.
Nick enjoyed cooking, reading, and playing video games with his friends.
Nick is lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his mother, Tammy; father, Michael; brother, Joey; grandfather, Frank Fiala; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Nick's life will be held at the Church of the Resurrection in Sunnyvale on January 16th, 2016 at 10:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Dear Tammy, Mike and Joey,
