Nick Carter shares 1st photo of baby girl after ‘minor complications’

Nick Carter and wife Lauren Kitt Carter shared the first photo of their newborn daughter in an Instagram post on Monday after experiencing “minor complications.”

The Backstreet Boys member, 41, posed behind Lauren, 37, in the hospital as she cradled their little bundle of joy while sitting a wheelchair, surrounded by gold balloons that spelled out “Hello Baby.”

In the caption, Nick expressed gratitude to the health care workers who made sure everything went smoothly with the couple’s baby girl.

“I would like to thank the amazing doctors, nurses, & staff at ⁦‪@southernhillshospitallv‬⁩ NICU for taking such good care of our baby,” he wrote. “We know it’s not easy, especially during this time. We are so grateful for everything you’ve done for us 🙏🏻 @laurenkittcarter and baby are home and doing well ❤️⁦‪.”

Last week, the singer shared that Lauren had welcomed their third child but was not cleared to leave the hospital yet.

“We have been experiencing some minor complications but things are looking a little better after the first night,” he tweeted at the time.

A day later, Nick shared that they were still in the hospital, but their baby’s health was improving. Lauren and the newborn, whose name they have not yet revealed, finally went home at the beginning of this week.

“Baby is doing so much better,” Nick tweeted on Monday, adding, “Thank you again for all your love.”

The Carters, who got married in April 2014, revealed that they were expecting baby No. 3 in January after suffering “multiple miscarriages” over the years.

They are also parents to 5-year-old son Odin and 1-year-old daughter Saoirse.
