Behind every great video game is a talented cast of voice actors who bring the characters to life. Alone in the Dark, in particular, has several recognizable actors who have starred in other huge games and TV roles. Here’s a look at the full Alone in the Dark cast below!

Some of the best games have characters that feel and act real. A big thanks goes to the great actors who lend their voices and faces. You may recognize some of the unique characters in Alone in the Dark because they’re all over TV on Stranger Things, Killing Eve, or other huge game franchises like Resident Evil. Meet these important cast members!

David Harbour
Not only did David Harbour lend his voice to Alone in the Dark, but they even modeled the character Edward Carnby after him. Thanks to his diverse resume, he is the most instantly recognizable character in the game.
He is most well-known for his roles as Jim Hopper in Stranger Things, Alexei in Marvel’s Black Widow, and even his newer role in the Gran Turismo racing movie with Orlando Bloom. However, believe it or not, his expertise also extends to quite a few other voice roles, like Star Wars: Visions, Hellboy, Q-Force, and even The Simpsons. His past experience in both forms of acting makes him the perfect fit for Edward Carnby, one of Alone in the Dark‘s main protagonists.
Jodie Comer
Emily Hartwood is the ying to Edward’s Carnby’s yang, and who better to play her than Jodie Comer? This is Comer’s first appearance in video game style, but her expertise in acting shines through.
Comer, just like Harbour, stars in facial appearance and voice as the character Emily Hartwood. Even though she hasn’t done much voice acting in the past, you’ve more than likely seen her in other prominent roles, like Villanelle in Killing Eve, Millie in Free Guy, Rey’s mother in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, alongside Austin Butler in The Bikeriders, and so many more. She does an excellent job making Emily Hartwood feel authentic in this experience.
Paul Mercier
Alongside these two well-known actors comes a voice that cannot be overlooked. Paul Mercier played one of the most popular and loved characters in a gaming franchise, Leon from Resident Evil, but he took on a completely different style in this experience as Jeremy Hartwood.
Mercier is a legend for his work in the Resident Evil series and countless other titles, such as Final Fantasy, Call of Duty, Saints Row, and beyond. He knows how to switch up his voice to fit the role suited for any experience, proven to a tee in Alone in the Dark with his character, Jeremy Hartwood. This semi-unhinged character speaks in a strong southern accent that had me doing a double-take to even recognize him as Mercier.
Glory Joy Rose
Although a much younger actor, Glory Joy Rose, drives home the creepiness with her role as Grace, and you may just recognize her from a few other roles as well.
Rose has been in fewer features than Harbour and Comer, but she has steadily made a name for herself with titles on Disney and Nickelodeon, such as Coop & Cami Ask the World and Danger Force. Alone in the Dark takes a much darker tone than the themes in her past shows, proving her talent and versatility even more. In the trailer alone, her character succeeded in sending shivers down my spine.
Bruce Nozick
Every psychological horror game needs a creepy doctor. Bruce Nozick plays the very mysterious Dr. Gray in Alone in the Dark, but his track record goes much further back.
Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time Nozick has played a doctor. In fact, he’s been cast as a doctor multiple times in the past for big titles like ER, Chicago Hope, Chicago Med, and Dr. Green in the long-time-running soap opera The Days of Our Lives. Beyond that, he’s also had experience voice-acting for games like Fallout 76 and Fallout 4, Rage 2, and Halo. Now in Alone in the Dark, we’ll see just what kind of doctor he plays this time.
Clé Bennett
Clé Bennett is another versatile actor whose roles as Jean Batiste Tabouis and Frank the Goon may not have immediately caught your attention. That’s really no surprise since his roles are all so very different.
Bennett has played plenty of diverse characters. He’s in live-action shows like Homeland, Flashpoint, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. He can also be heard as a voice in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Total Drama Island, one of his most popular roles. His role in Alone in the Dark definitely has a different vibe than his past performances, but he does a great job adding depth to the character Jean Batiste.
Susanne Blakeslee
Susanne Blakelee is a voice-acting veteran who lends her distinct voice to play Mrs. Thompson. Even if her name isn’t ringing any bells, you’ve most likely heard her voice many times before.
If you grew up watching Nickelodeon, Disney, and Cartoon Network, you’ve heard Blakeslee’s voice countless times without even realizing it. She has voiced all sorts of characters, from Wanda in The Fairly OddParents to the Stepmother in Cinderella, and many, many more. She’s appeared in countless video games as well, like Elder Scrolls, Persona 3, Starfield, Like a Dragon, Kingdom Hearts, and even as Professor McGonagall in Hogwarts Legacy. She adds Alone to the Dark to her impressive resume and succeeds at making Mrs. Thompson another notable character.
Additional Cast Roles
Along with these super-star cast members, plenty of other talented actors play roles in the game. You might pick up on a few, like Yuri Lowenthal, who plays Mr. Waites and previously voiced Peter Parker; Felice Monteith, who starred in Black-ish and voiced characters in Horizon Forbidden West; and another popular voice actor, Liam O’Brien, who voiced characters in Starfield, Death Stranding, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and so many more.
The cast makes this game into the terrifying experience it is by portraying the characters in unique and realistic ways. They allow us to connect to the characters more and do an excellent job of making us love and hate them in Alone in the Dark.
