Very comfortable, easy and free parking, great sound, very good seating, plenty of legroom and wide rows. Next to a good food court. Courteous staff.

I go often. Most of the questions below aren't good questions and not really relevant for this purpose.

Many movie choices, new releases, premiers and even screenings of the classics. Enjoy a glass of wine, beer or the traditional movie fare. If you arrive early there is a bar / restaurant in the lobby or try several of the new restaurants nearby. Maybe best of all is buying the tickets online and picking out our seats so we can breeze right in before show time. Stadium seating means every seat is good! We love ArcLights!

Other than the large seats, exotic food and drink options, what's especially great about this theatre is that you can reserve your specific SEAT on-line and get to the theater 5 minutes before the show starts and sit in that top notch seat you reserved. I also love a movie theater that is attached to a mall since I can get errands done on one end or the other of the movie. Finally, for a few movies they have a Sunday morning option, which means that I won't fall asleep in the middle of the movie. (I know sad!)

While this is not the easiest theater to get to (unless there is another access point from the mall that we missed), once you are there the screens are wonderful, the seats are comfortable and the food options are exceptional. Don't miss the caramel corn...it is made on premises and is fabulous.

Computerized tix, bar and seating in the lobby, comfortable seating in theater and plenty of free parking. Usually a good entertainment experience unless there is a blockbuster type of movie everyone must see today.

My husband and I went here over the holiday season to catch Selma before it hit mass showing phase. First of all...we were both shocked and extremely surprised at the renovations Montgomery Mall has undergone!

I think we both thought the theater was like a "dinner movie theater" with the big comfy seats (reclining would have been great) where you can order dinner and have it brought to you or taken to your seat. Since we had to "select our seats" we thought it was that kind of theater. But really, once inside there was nothing fancy or different. Seats were still crammed together...you just had a guaranteed assigned seat.

The nice thing was the bar in the lobby and that you could take your drink to your seat. Additionally, I noticed some of the snack options were a little more "upscale or gourmet" than your typical movie theater (i.e., air popped popcorn with olive oil & sea salt, kettle corn, etc.).

We were a few minutes late due to trying to find a reasonably close parking spot and the lady who took our tickets said she typically wouldn't let us in. We needed to be ON TIME or EARLY. So, it's like not like your typical theater where you can just go in during or after the previews...or even once the movie has started. We decided to change movie times then so we could get there from the beginning.

Not a bad time and we'll definitely go back now that we know what to expect!

Like its namesake in Hollywood, the grand opening of Arclight Cinemas in Bethesda, Maryland (the first opening outside of California) brings an entire new and classy movie experience to the East Coast. With reserved seating, plush leather seats, sound engineers to monitor the sound quality throughout the film and no commercials (yes, there are previews), Arclight has been my favorite movie theater since it opened in Hollywood in 2002. As a West Coast transplant to DC, I was thrilled when I heard about Arclight coming to the area. No more lines, bad seats, and endless commericials. And to top it off, the Bethesda location has free parking. If you have the munchies, skip the food court downstairs and arrive a bit early so you can sample some of the tapas-sized dishes at the Arclight Cafe. The poke tuna and prosciutto pizza are good choices. Concession food is a little pricey by comparison. Almost any seat in the theater is excellent, but unless you have no choice, try to reserve behind the first main aisle.

Being a neighbor of the cinema, I find I drive miles out of because they are consistently horrible with their movie times. Despite the very charming and the guy with his own “ movie star” looks, Steve, Arclight is in the Middle Ages when it comes to simple technology- like the time the movie starts.

Unbelievable!

I keep hearing the name Kevin Holloway in Hollywood is the one to blame. Having made direct comments to that name at the theatre’s headquarters I have found nothing gets done.

Our anniversary was ruined tonight because of the wrong times for the movie. Our friends had a reception afterwards to surprise us. Well that was slated at midnight so where do we hang out since the movie had started playing for 30 minutes.

Law suit.

According to the ordinances of our county, false advertising is illegal. If this ever ever happens again ( I and my neighbors have 18 counts) we will have to bring it to the attention of our state senator, and consumer advocate, Chris Van Hollen.

This is a promise!

The staff at the theater were so nice and helpful which is the only reason the review is getting 3 stars. The theater is so freakin dirty and disgusting. I had to spray my clothes with lysol after leaving and was not comfortable eatting my pretzels becasue it was so nasty. Seemed like animal hair all over the seats in addition to just crap that look like body fluids...Yuck see photos of our seats..
