We were assigned a room in the South Tower... I asked to move to a different room, and although we got one on the same floor with a better view, this room also had no drawer space... When I complained I was told that all rooms were designed this way... The room was a decent size for New York... I usually stay in Manhattan where they tend to be smaller... ...The parking garage is a little expensive at $60/day but the elevator takes you right upstairs to the lobby, a real plus... When I complained about this to the front desk, their suggestion was to maybe “go to the Panera down the street!!!!... !” Frankly, there were a lot of things I liked about this Marriott but I can’t recommend staying here for the price - better value at the Hampton Inn where they understand that cleanliness, coffee and breakfast are important to travelers...

...The parking garage is not owned by Marriott, but a separate entity (more $ for Marriott when it's done that way). We ended up parking in the bowels of this massive garage; so much for valet service... I also made a reservation for someone else and told Marriott we were paying for the reservation... Marriott ended up charging this person's card for the room (yes, they also charged me for the room...) so now we have an issue and a case number... But would I stay at this Marriott again if I did not have to for a business trip?...

Good location but disappointing stay. For the price (it came out to $384/night including taxes for a basic King room), I expected a nice, clean room... I was primarily disappointed with the lack of cleanliness and overall extremely minimalist design of the room especially considering it was not a “cheap” stay... Lastly, it seemed like kind of a rip off that Marriott charged a ~$20/day “resort fee” that goes towards food or beverage at the “lobby restaurant” that must be used per day or else you lose the credit... I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my friends or colleagues...

Maybe because it was Marathon weekend and they were understaffed and sold out... Also, don't like the fact that the daily resort fee of 25.00 plus taxes but for which you got a 25.00 F&B credit, expired each day... Not sure why a resort fee is charged in the first place for a city hotel... Who needs dry cleaning when most people are not staying for more than a few days?...

...It certainly felt more on par with a stay at a Holiday Inn. Lastly, it seemed like kind of a rip off that Marriott charged a ~$20/day “resort fee” that goes towards food or beverage at the “lobby restaurant” that must be used per day or else you lose the credit...

...The bed was also more like a Murphy bed, not typical Marriott.... I have never stayed in a Marriott hotel, or any hotel for that matter, that did not offer this... They did say they would have some drawers delivered but this never happened... The room was a decent size for New York... Why not give a 75.00 credit for the entire stay?... We had plans outside the hotel so were not able to fully utilize this... You also get a 20.00 dry cleaning credit... Who needs dry cleaning when most people are not staying for more than a few days?...

The rooms were clean and quiet but there was no shower cap (first world problem I know). In the 2 days we were there I asked 3 different room attendants for a shower cap. It is a basic amenity that has always been in any of the hotels i have stayed in. Not overly impressed with the girl at the concierge desk. After asking for a recommendation for a lunch restaurant close by we were given directions to one that was a 15 minute walk away that was closed. The hotel is very conveniently located and I would book there again.

The hotel felt very clean, the lobby bar is pretty nice, the Marriott lounge is nice, service was ok but we did see a ton of cleaning staff. The food was very average at best. Good location if you want to be in Brooklyn or don't want to pay Manhattan prices.

Arrived during a crazy busy NYC rush hour check in frenzy. Was immediately impressed with front desk. Jahira was dealing with irate large volume corporate guests not able to get their room. When Jahira got to me, this single guest business traveler; she was able to accommodate me, get me checked in and not annoy the throngs of corporate meeting folks hovering about. Thanks Jahira for your tips, hospitality and efficient service. Five Stars all around. I need to thank Jeffrey at the front desk and Louis (and his female colleague) at the M Club. Jeffrey was spot on with his service and always seemed to be around to help. They made this weary traveler feel at home. The M Club was immaculate and provided first class service. Great job.

This is absolutely the WORST Marriott experience I have ever had. As a Gold member they have always been my first choice, but this ends today. Horrible experience from the start. No room service, no restaurant. Limited bar food, no full pantry type place or gift shop open at night, sure you can enter M club and get a paper cup of water and then spill it on the 5 minute walk back to your room. No bottle water in room, I can't even buy a bottle of sparkling water anywhere in the building. I asked if they could ship a case for me, with pre filled Fed Ex slip....sure they said....now that I am on my way to airport, it was too much trouble to wrap saran wrap around it prior to shipping. I will undoubtly miss my flight. It's sad to see people walking into the hotel in the morning in

This property prides itself on the comfort and treatment of its guests. From check-in to food and beverage to housekeeping - everyone is on board with guest satisfaction. They do little things like hand out cookies or bourbon tasting randomly as you walk through the lobby. The only negative - rooms have no dressers or drawers so places for clothing are challenging. Location is key - great subway access to Manhattan and all of Brooklyn. Fabulous restaurants are in walking distance.

Have stayed at this hotel more than a dozen times in the past 6 years. Hotel has been recently renovated. All for naught. Amenities lower standard to that of a 2 star airport hotel. Looks like they bought most of the furnishings at COSTCO. Very Uncomfortable!!!!!! NO ROOM SERVICE. Will not stay here again.

My room at the Marriott was very spacious and comfortable. A modern luxurious environment very suitable when traveling on business. The food was good but the seating area for dinner was a little disappointing. It felt more like a bar area than a restaurant. Though the staff were polite they were not always knowledgeable about the facilities they offered. For example when I asked for an adapter to charge my phone they said none was available, and didn't think to tell me I could easily plug my phone cable into the clock in the my room to charge my phone. I figured that out on my own after failing to obtain an adapter. Overall however the staff were very polite and helpful and my stay was one of the most comfortable stays I have had at a hotel.

HUGE rooms (a surprise for NYC), one of the best hotel salads I've ever eaten (the kale Caesar), has a pool, which is nice for kids (although it's mostly a lap pool). Friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again.
