Job Summary:


Due to the growth of Standard Chartered Bank, we are looking for a Lead, South Asia & Middle East Threat Area to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving as the lead for the South Asia & Middle East Threat Area, accountable for the development of high impact intelligence related to the threat area. The candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of cyber threat intelligence, intelligence processes, and technical investigative skills. They should also have experience in incident response, malware analysis, and risk management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high impact intelligence relating to the South Asia & Middle East Threat Area
  • Produce high quality standardised intelligence reports for various stakeholders
  • Provide strategic insights on the threat, predicting shifts in adversarial intent and goals
  • Create and maintain detailed threat actor profiles and map known TTPs to the MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • Support source analysis to understand and track adversaries targeting the bank
  • Provide operational cyber intelligence support during ongoing incidents
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform technical research into advanced targeted attacks, malware campaigns, and emerging technologies
  • Drive the strategy around intelligence collection, requirements, and stakeholder engagement
  • Contribute to process improvements and the maturity of the team

Key Criteria:

  • 4+ years of cyber threat intelligence experience, preferably in the banking and financial services sector or intelligence agencies
  • In-depth knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, including threat actors, advanced cybercrime, attack types, tactics, techniques, and procedures
  • Strong understanding of intelligence processes and structured analysis techniques
  • Experience with threat hunting tools and signature development
  • Strong technical investigative skills and expertise in network protocols
  • Proficiency in technical indicator pivoting and investigation
  • Experience with link analysis or data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of scripting or coding languages
  • Experience in writing intelligence reports
  • Experience with incident response and malware analysis

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 141,107 USD to 211,661 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
