Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has seen a lot of players move in and out of the north London club since his appointment back in December 2019.

In terms of the incoming players, Arteta has certainly been backed by the owners to build his own Arsenal side he feels is strong enough to push the club forward.

The previous summer transfer window was a great example of that as the Gunners spent a total of £118.86m (as per Transfermarkt) to bring in players such as Fabio Vieira, Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Matt Turner and Marquinhos.

One other player that Arsenal were linked with over the summer that we feel would be the final piece of the jigsaw for Arteta is Wolves winger Pedro Neto.

In 99 appearances for the Midlands club, the 22-year-old has 11 goals and 12 assists to his name, showing how much of a useful attacking figure he can be in terms of scoring and setting up goals for his side.

Having played in all six league games for Bruno Lage’s side so far this season, Neto currently tops the list for the number of shot-creating actions (21), successful dribbles (10), crosses (20) and carries into the 18-yard box (13) at Wolves.

This shows just how much of an attacking threat he has and why he’d be a great fit for Arsenal to feed someone like Jesus with goal-scoring opportunities.

It also shows why Wolves reportedly wanted a rather hefty fee of £50m to sell the Portuguese international over the summer.

Hailed as a “huge talent” by Alan Shearer and a “superstar” by Jamie Carragher, Neto would be a solid addition to Arteta’s ranks, as Gabriel Martinelli is the only predominant left-winger he has at the moment. With all of that in mind, we feel that the Gunners boss should launch another move for the Wolves star either in the upcoming January transfer window or next summer.
