Malcolm & Marie
Netflix won an intense bidding war for this original drama starring Emmy winner Zendaya (Euphoria) and Golden Globe nominee John David Washington (BlacKkKlansman, Tenet), which was filmed during the pandemic with a small cast and creative team under strict COVID-19 safety protocols. The black-and-white film follows a couple who find their relationship tested while they await news regarding the premiere of Malcolm’s new film. Euphoria creator Sam Levinson wrote and directed Malcolm & Marie, which holds the distinction of being one of the first feature-length movies to be written, financed, and filmed during the pandemic.
