We had not pre-booked this hotel and picked it by pure luck. The location is great, the room was fairly large, the beds comfy and the breakfast, that was served in the room, was very good. What more can you ask for? Being in the downtown of Napa, next to the river, our room was also quiet. Parking could be a problem as the hotel does not have private parking.

Pro: Front desk staff were very warm and welcoming Location is great Bed was comfortable Room size was large with fireplace and large bathroom Morning breakfast was really nice - the AM Bunz taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch croissants. Cons: We were in the annex building and the street noise was quite loud if you are used to the country In room heating/air conditioning unit was also pretty loud so despite comfy bed we didn't really feel well rested here View? Not so much. Overall: Would shop around before staying again. If they would just do central heat/air and try to add some sound proofing I think the room might be worth the price. Otherwise since we didn't sleep well here we felt we paid a bit too much.

We bought a great package through Living Social. The staff at Napa River Inn made this birthday trip an exceptional one. The hotel is in a wonderful location and allows visitors to easily walk around downtown comfortably. The staff was very accommodating and the Concierge, Laurie, was extremely helpful. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

This is our favorite place to stay in Napa, because it's literally in the city of Napa, along the river. You can walk out the door and in to the city which has boomed in the last few years with restaurants and bars. The staff is so friendly, dogs are welcome, and the rooms are comfy with great beds. Breakfast is included at Sweetie Pies next door where they have the best pastries and breakfast quiches or sandwiches. They will deliver to your door or mosy down in the morning and relax with a coffee and paper. Frankly I shouldn't be writing this because I thinks it's a hidden gem.

My husband and I enjoyed our lovely room, and had the fireplace going whenever we we came in. I even sat on the balcony overlooking the Napa River at 8:00 AM on Dec 20th. I can't wait to come back during warmer weather. The staff was very helpful and friendly whenever I had a question. The king size bed was absolutely wonderful. Neither of us have ever ....slept on such a comfortable bed. The breakfast was delightful! Just right to start us off on a day of wine-tasting. I highly recommend the Napa river Inn

The room was spacious but still felt cozy and luxurious. The breakfast basket that is brought to your room is scrumptious. The breakfast sandwich was rather greasy, but tasty, and much needed for my mild wine-tasting hangover. And the morning bun is truly PHENOMENAL!! From reading other posts, I think it is important to pay that extra money for the upgraded rooms, because I just have not one bad thing to say about this place. I would recommend it highly.

We stayed 4 nights at the Napa River Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our Historic Deluxe room in the Embarcadero Building. The breakfast from Sweetie Pies was a lot more substantial than we'd expected, the room was always well cleaned and we couldn't have asked for more. Location wise, it was perfect. Walking distance to the Wine Train, plus most of the restaurants & wineries we visited were within a half hour's drive. We had some issues with the wi-fi, but when it worked (which was most of the time), it worked very well. Location is great for a morning run, too, as there's much to see in the area. Room includes safe & mini fridge, which were convenient!

Hotel is in a great location, walkable to tons of restaurants and tasting rooms in downtown Napa. Parking is free and breakfast is included. Rooms are picturesque and offer a bed and breakfast feel. I was worried about noise in the rooms after reading some other Trip Advisor reviews, but we encountered no late night noises, and couldn’t hear a peep from the rooms above (we were on the first floor). Overall an amazing experience!

We spent 5 nites at the Napa River Inn and it was the best vacation ever. Everyone at the Inn went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The breakfast brought to your room every morning was absolutely delicious, my favorite was the AM bun. We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and patio and also had a view of the river. The bed was so comfortable. The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything. Our 1st day it was a misty rain, but we enjoyed walking in it to the Bounty Hunter and to Oxbow Public Market. I appreciated Matthew handling all the arrangements for our tours. Heather and Krystal were so helpful everyday. Laurie was so great for helping arrangements to get all my wine glasses shipped home. If we ever go back to

Although the City of Napa is overall not as attractive as the wine country we came to explore, the town has made a great effort to make the downtown area inviting. Along the river at the end of Main St. is the Napa River Inn set in the buildings of an old time mill. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but the rooms are well appointed and the beds are the most comfortable we encountered on our trip. Parking is provided although you may need to wheel you luggage about a block or so depending on which building your room is located. The staff is friendly and helpful. The included room service breakfast is nice but the same menu every day should you be staying more than a few days, it may get boring. The location is great being very near to great places to eat and
