dnf due to it being so f'ing dull. A lot of telling & not showing. Repeated proclamations that Frank was a great guy, & btw, he also had nothing whatsoever to do w/ the mob. Mmkay, sure thing hon'. For someone who states to not have spent a load of time w/ the guy, as he was so often "away," she sure is adamant about who he was & who he wasn't. I could deal w/ that if this wasn't one of the driest things I have read in a long time. So f'ing boring. I suspect that an honest telling re: anything Frank Sinatra would not be so painfully tedious a read that my eyes would keep glazing over like they did. I'm done w/ this.

A heart felt and very moving biography of the Man by his daughter Nancy who adored him. It has points that are probably more hagiography than biography, since she loved him so much. Yet, it is a good read and worth you time. Other biographies may be more accurate at points where an unbiased view is needed, yet this one still help you see why generations of fans and friends loved him. I wish I had met him.

Seeing all of the famous names people hung with back then is fascinating. All the famous places I wish I could have visited. It also astounds me all the cheating on spouses that people did back then

A solid brief look at Frank Sinatra behind the scenes. Maybe a bit bias, but still fascinating.

An extremely personal and honest portrayal of Frank Sinatra as told by his daughter, this book provides an insightful look into a singer that has become a legend. I love some of the details that Nancy Sinatra included which show the amount of work in effort "old blue eyes" put into making his work seem effortless.

You can really tell the pride this young lady has for her father as she recounts numerous stories which show - anecdotally rather than directly - the character of an incredibly talented artist. Aside from his work in equal rights, I love the anecdotal of how Frank S dealt with others. It will always be hard for me not to believe the mob connection rumors (as that really does add to the mystery and allure of his star persona), but I do think Nancy S has done a fantastic job of speaking up in defense of her family.

This is an easy and relaxing read for anyone who has interest in this amazing individual.
