Best and Worst Daytime Wigs

So 2022 is opening with two new strong entries in the list of most misguided wigs in daytime history with the atrocity B&B is putting on Krista Allen's head and whatever unflattering thing is going on on top of Days' Nancy.

So I was thinking... what other example do we have of the worst (but also the best) hairpieces and wigs ever worn daytime? Excluding of course wigs worn as wigs... I mean only wigs intended to pass as real hair.
And to be clear this is not intended to mock the real-life reasons that might prompt a show or a performer to require a wig, especially if it is health-related. But if it is a bad wig, it is a bad wig!

I still have Andrea Evans' last OLTL stint as the absolute most ridiculous wig but I am open to new entries.

On the best front, I don't know if it is the best - arguably the best will be the ones I didn't even know about - but I remember being quite surprised how long it turned out Susan Flannery had been wearing a wig on B&B. The hair was pretty thin and not particularly flattering - close to her real-life hair - so it never occurred to me it had been fake.

But I am sure ya'll will have better ideas!

What I don't get with the dust buster they've put on Patricia Darbo's head is why they didn't just get a red wig at least? I get PD is in her 70s (!) and is probably rocking the grey irl, but there's no reason why Nancy shouldn't have her recognizeable red hair.

Joan Collins had pretty good hairpieces on Dynasty, but as she's aged they've gotten progressively worse and more fake. Maybe it's because you know that a woman her age wouldn't have quite as thick hair as the wigs she puts on, but either way they don't look good.

Best - Going back 40 year, but Catherine Hickland's wig as Jenny Diamond on Capitol has always transfixed me.  How did they get it to be so tight to her head?

#Capitol from Classic Soaps

Worst - I'm going to have to give it to Kelly Ripa's rat's nest on AMC when she was introduced as Hayley - it never quite sat correctly on top of her head

Listen, I think it's sweet how Patrika Darbo wants to pay tribute to Betty White, but....

From the looks of that wig, you'd think she was getting ready to join Moondoggie and the rest of the gang on the beach.

I call this the "Farrah Flip-Out."

I think Michael Levin's toupee contributed to his popularity on RH.

OTOH, I remember wondering at the time why, when Luke and Laura were on the run the first time, she had to wear such an obvious wig while Luke's more unique, easy-to-identify appearance was unchanged....not even a fake 'stache. I mean, Laura would have blended into the crowd with her natural hair a lot easier than Luke should have.
