GH Nancy Lee Grahn Thanks Soap Fans For Supporting Her Through Health Crisis

General Hospital: Nancy Lee GrahnGeneral Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Nancy Lee Grahn is grateful to the ABC soap and its execs for helping her deal with an urgent medical condition. The soap was supportive of her when she revealed that she had a “fixable medical problem that needs to be addressed asap.”

On February 28, the actress tweeted a health update and said that she’s lucky to be an employee of the ABC soap for 26 years. She was thankful because when she told them about her problem, her boss, Frank Valentini told her to take her of herself.

“Then adjust 200 crew and a schedule that cost lots of time and money is a perk I’m grateful for,” she added.

General Hospital – Posting The Tweet

After posting the tweet, former General Hospital writers Patrick Mulcahey and Michele Val Jean reached out to Grahn to make sure she was ok. The good news is that the actress confirmed that it’s not that serious.

“It’s not death, but a benign cyst on some nerve on facet joint or something I can’t spell. It’s cry baby painful & Richard need to put on my underwear and pants but hopefully fixable,” she said.

Fans also wished Grahn well and hoped that she’ll get better soon.

General Hospital – Praising General Hospital

Fans know Grahn as Alexis Davis on the soap. Just like her character, she’s also a single mother who raised her child on her own. The actress thanked the ABC soap for giving her the “dream solo mom job.”

The actress has a daughter, Kate, who was born in 1998. She worked four to six hours, 2-3 days away when Kate was growing up. She got paid even during dark weeks and the show chanced her schedule accordingly whenever she had to attend her daughter’s parent-teacher conference.

Grahn also revealed why she chose to work with the soap. She explained that some said it’s better to work as a lead on a primetime show but she said that it’ll be difficult for single moms.

She argued that in daytime soaps, everyone looked out for each other. The show helped her whenever she had to be with her daughter. Because of this, she was always there when Kate needed her and never missed any of her school events.
