General Hospital without MVP and veteran leading lady Nancy Lee Grahn feels a little bit like Carly without the Metro Court Hotel. Maybe a lot like that. Yet both, it would seem, have now come to pass.

Alexis’ portrayer shared via Twitter on July 8 that she “was on [the show] yesterday with my grown women pals, Genie Francis (Laura) and Finola Hughes (Anna), and today with my TV prof [Trapper John, M.D. vet Gregory Harrison as Gregory] as I lake it with my real-life prof [her significant other, musician Richard Smith].

“All good,” she added.

“There’s nothing to see here!”

Was it, though? The Daytime Emmy winner went on to say that “[you] won’t see me in Port Charles for a while.”

Mmkay. We didn’t see Alexis being banished to the backburner in our crystal ball, but everyone takes a turn there, we suppose. Well, unless their last name is Corinthos. In the meantime, “hope you enjoy” the goings-on on ABC’s last remaining daytime drama, said Grahn, assuring her followers, “I’ll be here, Facebook and trying to figure out Instagram.”

A veteran of One Life to Live (as Marco Dane’s right-hand woman, Beverly Wilkes) and Santa Barbara (as the iconic Julia Wainwright), Grahn made her General Hospital debut in 1996. Since then, she’s driven one plot after another and become the matriarch of the Davis girls (whose off-screen antics she recently immortalized).
