The Star Trek cruise for 2022 has already sold out.

People love getting on big ships. It’s a big business and people go nuts for them. So obviously themed cruises exist and have been around for decades. It’s not even the mainstream things like Disney that have cruise experiences, as the former World Championship Wrestling used to have their own events back in the late ’90s, and All Elite Wrestling wrestler Chris Jericho has partnered with wrestling promotions to host his own version and intends on doing another after the pandemic has cleared up. So of course there’s a Star Trek cruise.

And of course, it sold out.

This was created by Entertainment Cruise Productions and the Executive Director, Greg Laubach recently told all the disappointed Trekkies that there’s no more room on this vessel.

(From Cruise Hive) Greg Laubach, Executive Director, Business Development at Entertainment Cruise Productions, said:

"The demand for our themed cruises has been unprecedented and our guests are wildly enthusiastic, as evidenced by selling out almost a year in advance. They’re ready to embrace everything that Star Trek: The Cruise and The 80s Cruise deliver. We’re really looking forward to seeing all of our guests and the actors, musicians and celebrities that make our cruises so special. In 2022, The 80s Cruise will be bigger and louder than ever and Star Trek: The Cruise will boldly go to even greater heights."

What are fans missing out on?

Besides having to pay anywhere from $1,950 to $8,500 for a room? Well, you’re missing out on a chance to meet many Star Trek alums. From the Original Series, George Takei and Walter Koenig will be there. The Next Generation will see Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis,  Gates McFadden
Denise Crosby, and John de Lancie. Terry Farrell, Alexander Siddig, Chase Masterson, Nana Visitor, and Max Grodénchik will represent Deep Space Nine. Voyager will be repped by Robert Picardo, Ethan Phillips, and Garrett Wang; while Enterprise will see John Billingsley, Connor Trinneer, and Anthony Montgomery. Finally, Discovery actors Anthony Rapp and Kenneth Mitchell will also be there.

This is the fifth version of the event, and there will be another in 2023, one has to think. If you’re missing out on the festivities, feel free to watch their special virtual version from this year.
