The funny thing is that Xbox fanboys will always try to find straws to grasp at even if it's just a rumor. For example, Sessler trying to blow the rumor out of proportion and making it look true though Sony already confirmed that it suppports game capture.

I think this was Sony's plan to stay quiet so the haters could have something to talk about. Because the guy that designed the PS4 (Cerny) already announced it a long time ago so we all knew it was possible.

It wasn't a big problem a week ago as only a few "care" about that support so this is rather good news for that people than a console-selling feature like many make it sound

Some idiots even cancelled their pre-orders over this thinking it was true. Always wait to hear it from the horse's mouth. Or at least wait to see if there'll be some sort of reversal of policy. XBONE fans thought they could finally complain.

@Jughead3416 - I'll start off by saying I prefer Xbox over PS. I own both but just don't like the PS controller (but jesus I love the Uncharted series).

Having said that, who the hell would cancel a PS4 preorder over this? Of all the cool things and crazy graphics abilities that the PS4 has and THIS would cause someone to cancel a preorder? People are tough these days.

First I never said ps4 wouldnt be able to do this in fact I said flat out that Im sure sony is working on it. What I said is if it was already done he would just go ahead and confirm it and this only confirms that I was right its not done yet which is why it sounded strange for Yoshida delayed answering the question about something already announced because many were expecting this at launch along with the other features Cerny and Yoshida promoted. Now finally the reason was because its another thing that sony touted but its not available at launch like on X1, which is why I laugh when people say X1 wasnt ready for launch, hopefully this it wont be a long wait sony isnt perfect they hinted at cross game chat for a long time before admitting ps3 couldn't do it. Its also funny how patient you sonyfanboys are when sony says something is coming in the "future" with not even a proposed timeframe. Anything said like that from micro is met with "yeah sure" or "when though?" or "they should just delay the Xbone" type of comments.

PS3 preorders are around 3X that of the Xbone... Titanfall will be here sooner than anyone would have guessed.

Additionally, Gaikai comes strong in 2014. Really not that far off until we can play all the PS3 games.

Gaikai will let you not just stream PS3 games, but PS2 and PS1 in the future. And it's one subscription for PS4 and Vita...they're bringing classics back. And you know what the icing of the cake is? Gaikai might add trophies to older games with Sony's patent created back in March 2013.

Knowing EA and the developers not denying a possible PS4 version, Titanfall will most likely turn out to be on the PS4. Respawn said that the only reason they're not doing a PS4 version is because they're trying to make the others perfect and flawless. They want their first game to give the developers a good impression. And EA doesn't like doing exclusive deals...look what happened to Mass Effect.

Too much obsession with Titanfall for the X1 when its available for the 360 and PC.

Yes, MS platforms (OS for the PC) but you do not need to buy an X1 to enjoy Titanfall.

Don't really care about BC, maybe one generation back but not more than that, I like to keep the good memories untouched rather than ruining them with bad graphics and poor camera/controlscheme...most of the games have not aged well

I am definately buying one....

But it aint perfect & once it releases your gonna start to hear some problems with it, just like every other brand new console release!! Then Sony & Microsoft will release a new shape PS4 & Xbox One & so on & so on...

Essentially it is, since you can plug your 360 into the HDMI-in port. This can actually be better than playing via the cloud/Gaikai, due to not needing a internet connection.

You could argue that it isn't "true" backwards compatibility since you need the 360, but the same can be said for PS4 since you need Gaikai and/or an internet connection. "true" BC would be the console having the built-in ability to play older games with no outside "help," whether it be hardware or software, and neither console has that ability.

That being said, it was also talked about older xbox games being playble via the cloud as well.

@H0RSE: If you plug your 360 into your Xbone, can you play the 360 with your Xbone controller? No? Then by your definition I could say my TV is "essentially" PS3 backwards compatible... because I can plug my PS3 into the HDMI-in port. Hell, by that rubric, I guess you could say that the Xbone is "essentially" backwards compatible with PS3, Wii, Wii U, and laterally compatible with the PS4. Impressive.

I think MS missed a huge opportunity on that, BTW. If you could plug the 360 to the Xbone's HDMI-in and control it with the Xbone controller, that would have been slick. I actually figured that was the route they would take, but no dice.

I would argue that it isn't backwards compatibility AT ALL. Same for the PS4 with Gaikai.

PS4: Cannot play PS3 games ON the PS4, BUT will play PS3 games THROUGH the PS4. PS3 hardware not required to play PS3 games (subscription required, subscription model TBD).

Xbone: Cannot play 360 games ON the Xbone, cannot play 360 games THROUGH the Xbone (you still need 360 controller). 360 hardware required to play 360 games.

Ah well, I'm hanging onto my PS3s anyway. Will be nice to still be able to game while my kids are watching Netflix.

Except backwards compatibility and free online lol
