Myron Hunt

Myron Hunt (1868 - 1952) was active/lived in Illinois, California, Massachusetts.  Myron Hunt is known for Architect, illustration.

Myron Hunt was born in Sutherland, Massachusetts, on February 27, 1868.
He completed his high school education in Chicago, graduating from Lake View High School. He attended Northwestern University from 1888-1890 and
Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1890 and 1893. Myron Hunt''s years in Chicago (1896-1903) were formative ones for the architect himself as well as for Chicago architecture.

Hunt, who returned there at the age of twenty-eight to take a position as draftsman in the local office of the Boston firm Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge, is mentioned in the reminiscences of Frank Lloyd Wright, Barry Byrne, and George Grant Elmslie as one of the original members of the so-called Steinway Hall group who, with fellow architects, later became known as the Prairie School.
