Best $20 ever spent
Bought my 2004 STi with a catless downpipe and RsR magic exhaust and it was loud. It made the subie rumble sound good, but highway drone was terrible and left me with a headache sometimes after driving. Got a ticket a few days ago for a loud exhaust but didn’t want to pay $$$ for a stock exhaust. The install for the silencer was easy and comes with hardware. My exhaust already had a notch cut in for the set screw, but you may need to drill one if yours doesn’t have one already. Now my car literally sounds STOCK, highway drone is non-existent and I can actually have conversations with my passenger. Best $20 ever spent!

I was looking for a replacement to the original silencer missing from my exhaust setup and this does great. Not too quiet but still has a good rumble. Rattles very slightly at certain ranges but isnt audible over the exhaust sound itself. The black paint or coating/whatever they used on it started flaking off with the heat as I used it though. If I had to change anything id ask to not have that on it if its just going to flake off anyway.

Installation was easy. My exhaust tip was a little bent, and so I brought it to a shop. They got the tip bent back to round, then used a sport mallet to tap it in.
If your exhaust tip isn't bent it should drop straight in. They cut the hole in the bottom side of the exhaust tip with a step drill, and tightened down the provided stainless socket head cap screw and nylock nut.
Then only downside is that the silencer is not made from stainless steel.
Fits ISR Racing 1999 NB Miata exhaust Perfectly

Works like a charm. My 1999 Miata has a full catless racing exhaust with a ISR Performance exhaust. I used to have to wear hearing protection to drive the car. Now, I can drive around town without hearing protection, and I get to listen to a nice sporty exhaust note. The silencer makes the exhaust a little raspy, but much much quieter. Bonus, I can now hear other sounds in the car such as low RPM detonation.Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2019
