purchased this for an open 2 into 1 exhaust on my bike that was just too harsh and grating on the long hauls. i wound up cutting off the 2" extension and just installed the "cap". it actually makes the bike note sound deeper and quieted it down just enough. sounds great. i did have to drill a second hole perpendicular to the original to keep the end from rotating inside the pipe.

Cut down on the sound by 10db at idle. 100+ to 90db. Long tube headers and no mufflers besides those. They however did not like two step or flat foot shifts. Only maybe a 300hp car with 3 inch dual exhaust. Should've welded them more thoroughly or gussets.

After welding a 3.5 inch Muffler on my 2.5 Subaru I was having regrets. I found myself creeping around town to avoid the dreaded "Fix it" ticket. This product solved all my issues. My car went from a growling fart sound, too a nice, smooth, just louder then stock low tone. It turned my exhaust back to a daily driver without totally killing the low tone that I love to hear my boxer make. I have a stainless 3.5 outlet A3 Racing High flow muffler and I did have to take this silencer to the bench grinder to get it to fit. In all fairness this was because the outlet on the muffler was a little smaller then it stated on the box, not the Silencer's fault. your fart can too loud? buy one.
