Anna Chlumsky was 10 years old when she starred in My Girl, playing angsty tween Vada Sultenfuss. After starring in the 1994 sequel and a few other films, she took a break from acting to attend the University of Chicago and work in publishing.

The actress returned to the spotlight when she joined the cast of Veep in 2012, winning a Screen Actors Guild Award and scoring six Emmy nominations. She has also made guest appearances on shows like Army Wives, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Hannibal, lent her voice to the Paramount+ Rugrats reboot and starred on the Netflix series Inventing Anna. She was also featured in the 2022 Peacock original film They/Them.

She and husband Shaun So have two children.

Macaulay Culkin as Thomas J. Sennett

The then-12-year-old was already mega-famous, thanks to his lead role in the ever-popular 1990 film Home Alone. Macaulay Culkin broke hearts playing opposite Chlumsky as Thomas J. Sennett and, with her, won an MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss.

Like Chlumsky, Culkin took a break from the spotlight in the late '90s, reappearing in Party Monster and Saved in 2003. He made guest appearances on the TV series Kings and The Jim Gaffigan Show, and in 2021, he joined Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story: Double Feature.

Also, in 2021, Culkin welcomed his first child with longtime partner and fiancée, Brenda Song.

Dan Aykroyd as Harry Sultenfuss

Dan Aykroyd was already a huge name thanks to his roles in The Blues Brothers (1980), Ghostbusters (1984) and Coneheads (1993)not to mention his work on Saturday Night Live, for which he won an Emmy in 1977. He took a slightly softer turn as Vada's widowed dad Harry, who ran a funeral parlor.

The actor has stayed consistently busy ever since, appearing on the TV series Soul Man. Aykroyd also starred in films such as Pearl Harbor (2001), The Campaign (2012) and Behind the Candelabra (2013) and joined the many Ghostbusters reboots, revivals and video games, among many other projects. In 1990, he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Driving Miss Daisy.

He has three adult children with his estranged wife and actress, Donna Dixon. The couple separated in 2022 after 39 years of marriage but chose to remain legally married.

Jamie Lee Curtis as Shelly DeVoto

Like Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis was also a household name, terrifying moviegoers in the first two Halloween films and starring in 1988's A Fish Called Wanda before finding fans in My Girl as makeup artist and Vada confidant Shelly DeVoto.

Since the release of My Girl, Curtis has starred in more than 80 films, including five more Halloween films and classics like True Lies (1994), Freaky Friday (2003) and Knives Out (2019). Curtis has also received praise for her role in 2022's Everything Everywhere All at Once, earning a Golden Globe nomination in 2023 for best supporting actress. The Hollywood legend was part of the cast of Scream Queens and played Jess' mom on New Girl.

Curtis has been married to actor and director Christopher Guest since 1984, and the pair have two children.

Griffin Dunne as Mr. Bixler

Having been in the business for 15-plus years before joining My Girl, Griffin Dunne played Vada's teacher Mr. Bixler, whom she had a big crush on in the film.

An Emmy and Oscar nominee, Dunne, has continued to work steadily in TV and film, notably on House of Lies and I Love Dick, before tugging at heartstrings as an estranged member of the Pearson family on NBC's hit series This Is Us.

He has been married twice and has a daughter, actress Hannah Dunne, from his second marriage to Carey Lowell.

Richard Masur as Phil Sultenfuss

Richard Masur was also a Hollywood mainstay before playing Vada's Uncle Phil in My Girl: His résumé included Hot I Baltimore, Rhoda and One Day at a Time.

Following My Girl, he served two terms as president of the Screen Actors Guild and moved on to Picket Fences, Forget Paris and All My Children and appeared on several episodes of The Good Wife, Transparent, Orange Is the New Black and Younger. Masur has also appeared on Broadway, including opposite Tom Hanks in Lucky Guy.

After his divorce from producer and costume designer Fredda Weiss in 2004, he married Eileen Henry.
