MILTON, Fla. (WKRG) — UPDATE (12:55PM 12/7/2020) — The man accused of robbing and killing a convenience store clerk in Milton is back in Santa Rosa County.
Hakeem Peterson was extradited to Santa Rosa County last Friday after U.S. Marshals arrested him in Decatur, Georgia in September.
Peterson is accused of murdering Lee Ann Parker on September 15, 2020. He was found in Georgia six days later.
State attorney Bill Eddins said he would be pushing for a first-degree murder charge because the murder happened during an alleged armed robbery.
Peterson is facing murder and robbery charges.
UPDATE (2:41 P.M. 9/21/20): The suspect in the murder of a Tom Thumb gas station clerk has been apprehended, according to Milton public information officer Steven Prestesater.
Milton Police have identified the suspect as Hakeem Denarious Peterson, 24. He was arrested in Decatur, Ga., and went into custody peacefully. Authorities are in the process of getting him extradited back to Florida. Peterson is expected to be charged with first-degree premeditated murder and robbery.
Peterson is accused of killing Lee Ann Kysun Parker, a clerk at the Tom Thumb gas station on Glover Lane, on Sept 15.

Police are searching for a man after a clerk was shot and killed inside a Tom Thumb in Milton. According to the Milton Police Department, the shooting happened early this morning on Glover Lane.
