I could not agree, more across-the-board I have received over the course of seven years. Nothing but the absolute worst customer service.
Their lack of basic understanding information is a crime. Having to work tirelessly with my crew as they have negotiated to hardship withdrawal so it's been one of the most offensive and disgusting experiences I've ever had to deal with my life.
In the middle of a strike, we have had to contact players individually because each representative have just given the wrong information now extending what is normally is 7 to 10 day hardship withdrawal to 40 days .
7 phone calls instructing 7 different courses of action. 3 days before the final of a brutal strike these people belittled & berated workers who followed all directions & then explained from the beginning this could have been answered but ... well they don't know why every single rep mislead & insulted each pension holder.
The compliant process is a 'contact form' that goes in answered.
Kids have been encircled due to
These people & no accountability
They should be replaced. I have contacted local agency's to begin to investigate federal and state repercussions.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Agnes S.Los Angeles, CA4215521Feb 8, 2023
What's up with this biz? All I tried to do is just dropping off a letter inside the mailbox and I am greeted like a criminal in the most unfriendly way by 2 bodyguards. Take it 5 notches down Motion picture. Seriously.
Try to get a person on the phone????? 30 min later...." All our representatives are assisting other callers" how many agents do they have there? 2 ? Because what takes so long to respond?
Call back???? Never happening either. Don't even try it.
This place is nothing but frustrating on all levels.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeff F.Los Angeles, CA25181Aug 8, 2023
The absolute epitome of what " customer service " shouldn't be a-z from alpha to omega , they can't even be rude without being condescending, and they can't be condescending without being an ass about it . if i were the type to - i can't say anything further without risking being accused of a crime but if i were a type they wouldn't see tomorrow, ' nuff said

Very bad costumer service! Don't even get me started on the operator when you call she is extremely dismissive and hostile, better luck at the DMV seriously. Call times are also long expect to wait 3-6 hours until a rep picks up. You also need an appointment to enter the building or you'll be rushed by to bodyguard, you'd think they were guarding the president of the United States. This place is a joke!

Extremely frustrating to deal with and understand.
I was excited to join my local 80 and get health insurance, but now that I'm dealing with these guys I'm shocked that this is what I was fighting for. They claim to be a PPO but act like a HMO, and that is a pretty common statement made by most doctors offices I go to.
When I first got in, I called the MPI office to find a primary health Dr so I could get a physical. They gave me local doctor, and months after the physical I got a bill for $450! I called MPI, and they explained to me that while I can go to that doctor, cause they are under the plan, they don't cover physicals from that doctor. Instead I need to go to one of their health care center. So why did they give my that primary care physician in the first place?!?!?
Turns out if you want a basic physical, you have to go one of these UCLA health centers, but they won't see you unless you make one of their doctors your primary care physician! WTF. So you can choose your doctor, but the insurance just won't cover the bills for them. So what's the point?
To my new Union members looking forward to health insurance, don't get excited. It is still going to cost you way more that you think, and no medical care will be easy.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Bobby J.Venice, Los Angeles, CA0771Jul 11, 2022
2 hours waiting on hold for nobody to ever pick up. Pressed 1 to request a callback and never happened. You guys seriously need to get it together.

Terrible customer service. Sarcastic and passive aggressive responses are what I received. Brandon Clements is the supervisor I had the most unproductive phone experience with after Patricia T.
I reinstated my dependent only to have him kicked off the plan less than a month later. I drove to the Motion Picture office to make a $25 payment to reinstate. February I get a termination letter but no late premium reminder for January. I inform them of this and their response was basically "too bad" he's out.
I proposed the question that if I knew I'd be in the same boat a couple weeks later why didn't I just take care of it when I was there in December? It's only $25 a month which is no problem. I said I did not have that information or understanding at the time. Patricia T. kept placing me on extremely long holds before handing me to Brandon.
These people have no power or authority to handle situations as people should in customer service. They just repeat phrases from the paperwork and your concerns go nowhere beyond them. They are a stone wall type of service that is all too common. Smug attitude is all I got. Your mileage may vary.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Honest R.Culver City, CA06Jan 18, 2023
How do we boycott this place? Whoever runs this place needs to lose his/her job so others can get their act together. We pay pur dues, they're not doing us a favor. This place is just as bad as the DMV or courthouse.

In the past proving i was eligible was super hard then this time out of the blue they just charged a payment to my paypal after not having the insurance for over a year.....i dont want or need it now ( thank god i have other insurance currently) so am going thru a whole process of attempting a refund.
They are crazy. Most customer service experience i have had involves condescending and once completely angry interaction.
Wish all the people that work there the best, i cant imagine the work environment is healthyHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Reese D.Long Beach, CA6316952Mar 9, 2021
This is the worst helth insurance I have ever had. They even denied paying for a standard OBGYN visit. Broke my foot earlier this year and they are refusing to pay for that too! I'm a union worker in good standing that can't get good health care. I may find work elsewhere! Never in my life have I had such a hard time with a health insurance company! I even have home security footage of my breaking my foot at home! They say this is a workmen's comp issue! I'm no genius but don't I have to be at work when an injury happens?!?! Good luck getting through to customer service! They never pick up and when you leave your contact information they never contact you to find out why you called! They are worse than AT&T! I'm being stuffed with over $30000.00 for just my foot!
