Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans (MPI) is seeking a Temporary Representative for Premiums Operations. The Representative will exhibit exceptional customer service, computer skills, and conflict resolutions skills, while interacting with Participants and team members regarding health plan options, eligibility enrollment, and premiums information.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service and/or comparable work experience is a plus. "Comparable work experience" encompasses the skills, abilities and work experience listed below
  • Proficient PC skills using Windows; MS Word MS Excel required
  • Accurate typing skills of 45 wpm; 10-key skills by touch
  • High school Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Clear and effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain and confirm understanding of complex issues
  • Health insurance experience is a plus
  • Pleasant and professional telephone etiquette
  • Able to multi-task, handle fast-paced work and meet deadlines
  • Motivated self-starter and well organized in managing time and materials
  • Strict attention to detail, a high level of accuracy required
  • Able to learn quickly and follow through to completion
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent attendance and reliability, with the ability to work overtime/extended hours as required
  • Ability to accept direction and developmental guidance from supervisor

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and process COBRA Elections & Payments
  • Review and process participant and dependent records, addresses, beneficiary designations, plan selections, Coordination of Benefits information, student documentation, life insurance, etc.
  • Communicate eligibility policies and eligibility extensions to Participants and dependents
  • Create reports using excel
  • Create letters for Participants using both word and excel
  • Handle Participant phone calls regarding eligibility and premiums
  • Complete tickets created by PSC Representatives
  • Respond to emails from Participants
  • Follow up with new enrollments requiring eligibility processing to generate premium notices or deposit payments
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Please note, this is an onsite assignment at our offices in Studio City, CA. MPI requires contractors to be vaccinated against Covid-19 with exceptions as required by law.
