Morgan State Set to Welcome First Members of 2021 Signing Class

BALTIMORE, Md. (December 17, 2020) – The Morgan State University football program capped off its early period of National Signing Day on Wednesday, announcing the signatures of 15 future Bear football student-athletes.

It marks the second class of recruits signed by head coach Tyrone Wheatley.

Wednesday's crop of signees includes  four offensive lineman, four defensive backs, two defensive linemen, two quarterbacks, two wide receivers and one linebacker. Seven states are represented, with nine players coming from the DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia), two from Georgia,  and one each from Indiana, West Virginia, Michigan and Florida. 

In all, there are eight (8) players on offense and seven (7) on defense.

Morgan State finished the 2019 season with an overall record of 3-9, 2-6 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play, including an impressive home victory against #14 North Carolina A&T.
