At least three characters must be entered to perform a search. Be as specific as possible without unnecessarily entering more characters than needed. Entering too few characters can find more parcels than you are looking for, and entering too many characters can result in the desired records not being located. DO NOT use punctuation such as commas or periods when searching by parcel id, owner name or street name.

If searching by Parcel ID the format is as follows:

  • 066L K 01100 000
    (you may search by first 3 characters)

If searching by Owner Name the format is as follows:

  • LAST NAME FIRST NAME
    (i.e. ~ SMITH JOE or SMITH J)

If searching by Subdivision the format is as follows:

  • SUBDIVISION NAME
    (i.e. ~ FOX MEADOW or FOX)
  • LOT NUMBER
    (i.e. ~ 1)


About the Assessor of Property

The Montgomery County Assessor of Property is a Tennessee constitutionally elected official who serves at the pleasure of the Montgomery County citizens for a four-year term of office. It is the assessor's responsibility to discover, list, classify, and value all property within the jurisdiction of Montgomery County for tax purposes. Taxable property is divided into two classes, real property and personal property. Real property includes land and all buildings, structures, and improvements to the land. Personal property is machinery and equipment, fixtures, furniture, and other items that are movable in nature used by a business.
