Absolutely gorgeous scenic drive with incredible views down the entire coast. Could easily spend the entire day doing this. Well worth the cheap cost of entry. An absolute must for anyone in the area!

beautiful, relaxing time walking on the beach and watching animal life or biking along the shore. We biked 28 miles in 4 hours :) The weather is warm during day and slightly chilly during mornings and evenings.
If you like playing pickleball, there are public courts to play pickleball.

This is a great local park. It has a variety of equipment for various ages. Our daughter enjoyed it more at 7 than 10 but still a good time.

Its a touristy area but retains some authenticity in its buildings and is an attractive street.

Loved the Fish Hopper restaurant and we enjoyed Treasure Ride. Of course the aquarium is the big attraction but you might spot sea life anyway, look out for sea otters and sea lions wherever you get an outlook over the bay.

    Touristic place in Monterey.
This old wharf features lots of restaurant and shop that are very touristic but also worth a visit.

Nice quiet park with lots of easy trails, there were no envelopes provided to pay for entrance, there was a post with a slot where people were dropping cash/donations.
The park was recently reopened on August not sure why it was closed but I think because all the rain we had a few months ago….
A few benches along some trails where you take a break if needed with lots of shade. There are tables for a picnic, bathrooms are clean, plenty of parking.
Overall great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Monterey.

The Monterey Museum of Art is a delightful destination in Downtown Monterey! During our recent visit, we were very impressed by the exceptional quality and variety of the exhibits. The interior of the building is not only appealing but also provides a beautiful backdrop to showcase the artwork. The staff's expertise and warmth left a lasting impression, making us feel exceptionally welcome. Having explored numerous museums around the world, I feel that the well-trained staff at the Monterey Museum of Art created an unparalleled sense of comfort and friendliness. They not only answered our questions but also offered insightful background information. A visit to the Monterey Museum of Art is highly recommended!

Beautiful Monterey Bay. Spindrift Inn ocean king room is the perfect place to relax, by the fireplace or in the window seat, and watch the tide roll in. Spindrift is also elegant and romantic. Next door is Giardelli, and within a half block is the Fishhopper restaurant with very good food, and Starbucks and a Turkish coffee shop, and multiple other dining establishments, including the Sardine Factory. The Sock Shop is worth a visit. 17 mile drive is beautiful, past Pebble Beach. Drive to the Carmel Valley for many good wineries. Drive to Big Sur for more stunning seascapes. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is excellent. And finally, take along a copy of John Steinbeck’s Cannery Row, to read during your visit. His stories are all around you.
