I cant win with Edith anymore. I used to be very good at Edith with 200-300 matches 70% WR, but rn she's below 50%. Her s1 is predictable, s2 is slow and short, her ulti is countered by dom ice and radiant armor. She is not even durable anymore (easily get deleted by Karrie and other Pure dmg or trin build mms). Its either heavily team coordinated like in pro scenes, or a liability. Imma play Guin until she's buffed abit.

She does struggle a bit against meta picks with the exeption of XBorg which gets destroyed if you S2 when he tries to poke you.
Rn with Edith I consider Oracle and CE to be mandatory due to the nerfs in healing and shield from the ult, in teamfight the idea is to use S1+flash for engage then let your team do their thing and soak a bit of damage to charge the wrath bar. She is more viable than most of the exp lane tanks however it's true that she sucks against mobile or long range mm and mages.
Which item is CE?
I believe concentrated energy. The mage life steal item.
Yes, it's stats ate vary useful for Edith and the passive makes fliying mode a beast once it's stacked
Its not a bad strategy (I sometimes use it but waste of flicker imo). But isnt CE abit reduntant since she's gonna get screwed by Dom Ice? Oracle fosho is worth the value but CE wont matter as long as your strat works imo.
The combination between Oracle and CE pretty much gives you such insane heal with the bouncing passive that it can nearly nullify the antiheal from Dom Ice.
Also I take CE for it's passive, once it's stacked the damage in ult is very hard to ignore and the enemy normally has to either jump on you or retreat as the passive takes 1/5th of squishies with every hit.
she is still solid, especially at exp lane
I have no problem with exp lane tbh, its the teamfights and late games I am having trouble with. Can you show me how to play her right?
with those 200-300matches, you should know her better than me.
but what I noticed is that she cannot be at the center of the war since her ulti form is squishy. let war start first, then you go lock thier mm or mage.
at the end, it's all about teammates, edith is not a hard-carry hero like martis, she assists the team to get easy kill.
I mean as a roamer and exp laner, she's gotta be in the middle of the battle lol. I do agree with her being team dependant tho, she just cant keep up with other initiators due to delays in s1 and s2 imo.
Try this for team fights. Initiate with S1 (preferably with conceal) let your teammate go in with their skills, soak in some damage to charge your wrath bar, use S2 to get out and your S3 to rain in damage and finish off enemies. This works especially well when your team has an EXP hero with CC skills like Guinnevere who can be at the front line while you use your S3.
I am always doing that tho, but my team expects me to soak dmg instead coz "roamer" and "tank". I guess I could just play like Guin now that I think about it.
Edith was nerfed a few times last season. That's what made her from good to just average.
I pick edith when I roam and when our jungler is a tank. That way I can play sort of like a pseudo assassin and go for squishies with flicker plus s2.
The whole season I only got one game where jungler is Fred, but even then tean didnt know to follow up when me and Fred went in first, hence keeps dying. Imma change my playstyle with your suggestion.
hi hi there! I was "main" edith for a while. Around 500 games with 80% wr. She was nerfed hard. I havent won a game with her for ages. My damage is low, my tanking is not high, I die a lot, average team participation. She is not a serial killer anymore and she is pretty week. And for "ganking" enemies there are better hereos. I rather go saber tank and have more chances of both killing one enemy and escaping than trying with edith. As a main tank I feel confortable only with tigreal mino and belerick at the moment. I need to practise atlas but I was never good at him
What was the nerf? I played her a lot too but stopped for some time. Was it the S1 range nerf?

She wasnt nerfed directly, but others got buffed like Radiant armor and Dom Ice.
I have more problem with her being predictable tbh. Damage isnt nerfed, but more so the counters are buffed like Radiant and Dom Ice. I do agree her dursbility sucks even since release, shouldnt be in a tank category imo.
You should definitely train Atlas, he can be pretty nasty with his CC capabilities.
i'm using roam Edith. she is weak against CC immune or has dashes/blink/high mobility to avoid both her s1 and s2. the rest, she is fine.
Yeah, Hanabi is my worst nightmare when I use Edith. And Karrie, and Claude, and Brody, and Wanwan, etc.

I still stuck in Legend, I might as well get out of it with whatever heroes I have aside from Edith. Its been like this since the start of the season tho.
Personally speaking, yeah she's out of META. I also have 70% WR on her last season and went Top in my country. The problem is that she's dependent on Starlium Scythe, and the Rose Gold Meteor update killed her ability to burst mm in like two hits.
I dont think I have ever used Scythe lmao, Feather is just better imo. I dont know about RGM tho, but I dont see it alot in ranked games. What about it?
Scythe is better. It's literally 1k true damage plus base damage per hit.
1.6k if you add holy crystal
Then she's gonna lose her survivality tho innit? But then again, 1k pure dmg sounds great. Definitely trying this.
Who needs survivability when you can burst down a META fighter in four hits?
what I can say about this is that you might need to position yourself real good and save your ult until the best timing i played 50 matchs with edith the last month and i didn't struggle much (i only picked against specific enemy comps)
That might be it actually, I recently started a new acc and Edith is my first purchase so not a lot of option to adjust.
Try sustain build w/ CE, Oracle, Blade Armor, Thunderbelt, G.Helmet/Queens Wings and Vengeance lol

I only tried Edith in ranked games this season and games were always in favor to ours throughout the games. Not easy, but I could handle all the clashes. I make sure to buy thunderbelt for the stack. You should try practicing Edith more.
I had like 300 matches under my belt, good wr, but that was a year ago. Now my old playstyle is just not working. Ig Imma keep practising new strats in classic then.
She is hella good, a recent match I played her being a tank (not exp) I legit carried the game with kda being like 12-3-21
Hoenstly, I can only play Edith against certain picks now. Even then there are much better choices. I only use her in my epic account nowadays
U just suck with her now thats the reality. She has been buffed and radiant armor isnt as strong. And karrie just shreds heroes with high hp count. The rest is just a skill issue.
Can you show me how to play her then? I really want to main her again but there are alot of other factors of why's she's unviable imo.
I disagree with Radiant tho, it is the strongest compared to other magic def items.
What is your build including spell and emblem/talents
Items: Warrior/Tough boots, Dom Ice, Radiant, Thunderbelt/Feather, Antique and last one is adjusted accordingly.
Spell: Flicker for roam and in general, Inspire for Exp.
Emblem: Tank emblem with Swift/Inspire, Tenacity, Brave Smite.
You’re better off using firmness and concussive blast talents on edith. Thunderbelt not useful in rn. If ur going to use feather you will need oracle. Or adjust thunderbelt accordingly aswell.
During laning phase just use and aim your s1 in a way to clear wave while also hitting the enemy in the process. If your opponent is smart enough to react to s2 dont use s2 offensively. Use it defensively. Its hard to dodge her s2 when they are committed to attacking you.
Her ult does alot of dmg in early game even with low wrath. Dont sleep on it.
Swap radiant for athena(trust me, there was comparison for both burst and continous damage (change) for those items and athena outperformed radiant), change feather to starlium scythe, antique ONLY if there's someone like yin or lapu2 who have high skill damage, otherwise you're better off with oracle(please build oracle no matter what), last item could be situational. Change spell to vengeance, will help you when you ult to survive while dishing out dmg. Don't play her roam, just exp unless your exp is someone tanky with a bit of cc so the exp can frontline when you ult
I cap at mythic honor as edith roamer spam.
Till mythic she is win button cuz does everything herself, very important in solo rank.
I feel like she's not meant to be soloQ anymore, but nice that she's still relatively decent.
