What travellers are saying
- CgeckLos Lunas, NM347 contributionsWe went to the Arches Visitor Center after 4 pm and we didn’t have to pay an entrance fee. We got the map and did a self guided tour, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The sights are amazing.Written 17 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- santhonyFordyce, AR597 contributionsThis Utah State Park is only a slight detour from Canyonlands National Park and can easily be visited on the same day. There is a very nice visitor center and snack bar which is the trailhead for several hikes. There is a viewpoint at the end of the road that features great views of the Colorado River below.Written 25 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ksufan88Wichita, KS6,275 contributionsWe arrived at the park around 9 AM and we didn’t have any wait to enter the park. There were several viewpoints along the road that didn’t require much of a hike to enjoy the beauty of the area. Later in the morning, some of the parking lots were full and we had to park alongside the road. Our highlights of the park include: The Neck (a quick stop with amazing views), Mesa Arch (a 1/2 mile loop with a beautiful arch), the Grand Viewpoint and Trail (the viewpoint alone provides excellent sights but we also enjoyed the trail along the edge of the canyon), and the Buck Canyon viewpoint. We spent about 5 hours in park and had an excellent time!Written 15 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ncognet0Moab, UT22 contributionsNamed after Moabite Local girl that grew up in Moab named Mickey C. This obstacle is not for the faint hearted. It's good to have a spotter in this one. 5 stars.Written 17 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- jenniferPittsburgh, PA8 contributionsThe hike was more strenuous than anticipated but the arch was soo worth it. The best arch in Moab. Much less populated than delicate arch.Written 8 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Taylor MorrisBoise, ID120 contributionsI feel like i've done quite a few "adrenaline adventures" and this might be the most thrilling. The first half of the ride I constantly thought we were going to flip. Then you realize what a pro Dave is and theres no chance to flip. Highly recommend!Written 20 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Selena FSalt Lake City, UT76 contributionsBalanced Rock: Nature's marvel! A giant rock on edge, breathtaking views. - Casey F7 contributionsGreat little drive with a few pull outs. BLM areas have similar features to both parks.. but less people and no fees. - Annie MClinton, NJ82 contributionsI am so thankful that a local Mmoabite recommended that we drive Castle Valley road. The sites were unbelievable (including the fun of seeing free range cows!) Just beware that there is a reason the speed limit is only 15 miles an hour on sections of this road. There are no guardrails! Be careful and enjoy!Written 7 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Marv RBallwin, MO39 contributionsWe had visited the Arches NP on Sunday & were leaving town Monday morning when we noticed a walk bridge over the Colorado. We took a hike then decided to drive down the road by the river. It was a fantastic viewing experience.Written 26 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Winona H2 contributionsTake advantage of the dark skies outside of Moab. The stars are plentiful with the naked eye, but so much more with the help of a telescope and a knowledgeable guide. Alex was a wonderful host. He communicates well via text on the day of your tour. The group meets in an easy to locate park and follows Alex to the viewing site. As Alex sets up the telescope guests group the provided chairs (tightly if the wind is blowing hard). Everyone takes turns viewing each celestial body as Alex tells the science or history of what you are seeing. He is great at explaning and answering questions...even the vague questions from little kids. Tips...Wear clothing for the weather (it's colder at night) and bring cash.Written 23 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NapsterthecatHuntsville, AL1,330 contributionsThe arch is free to see and just on the side of the highway. It's a moderate 10-minute climb and you need to be sure of your footing but the view from the arch is stunning and worth the climb.Written 27 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
