The village was very friendly, we got a bit lost and the local children guided us to Mise en Scene. We were greeted by owner Fred who opened the secure parking for us. We were shown to our room which was spacious, with a large very comfortable bed. The shower had a large shower head and the controls were easy to operate.
Each day there was a generous breakfast, with fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, bread, fruit juice, cheeses, cake and superb coffee.
There was a small clean swimming pool and a hot tub.
The room had a small terrace and furniture, and enjoyed wonderful views across the hillsides.
Fred was a most attentive host and rescued us when our taxi, that was to take us to a wedding, did not turn up.
Three nights was far too short a stay, I would like to stay here for at least a week and tour the wonderful countryside.

We really enjoyed 3 nights in this lovely, friendly Chambre d'hote and wished we could have stayed longer. Our room was great and the outside space including the pool and the lovely deck was really welcome. We particularly appreciated having the use of a fridge and basic kitchen utensils so that we could eat in one evening. We were lucky enough to be invited to a barbecue with the other guests and the hosts, Frederic and Amandine, on one evening and, although we didn't understand everything it was a great night for practising our French and soaking up the culture! Mise en Scene is well located about 30 minutes from Montpellier and even closer to Pezenas. The walk up to the castle is well worth it. Breakfast was lovely. A really special place!

This tranquil retreat is less than 30 minutes from Montpellier airport, the mountains or the Mediterranean.
The rooms are bright, clean, modern and comfortable. Each has a sliding glass door opening onto a private deck, a nice place to enjoy a quiet drink with views of rolling green hills, vineyards and a medieval castle.
The health spa (pool area, sauna, jacuzzI and massage table, are only a few yards away). The massage kindly organised by our host was out of this world. This is the perfect place to relax and forget your troubles.
There is also a large deck area with a BBQ, a lounge, kitchen and dining area which our welcoming hosts invited us to share.
Breakfast was delicious, with home made jams and spreads, French cheese, eggs, croissants, pan du chocolates, yogurt and freshly squeezed orange juice. It set us up for the day.
Thank you to the owners for their warm hospitality and a wonderful stay in their lovely home.
