Mis-Teeq

Has anyone seen Just Fabulous? It's a new urban channel that's just launched officially. Zena seems to be working long shifts as she's the only presenter that ever seems to be on.

What was that amazing pop single she released that sold about 12 copies? It's name escapes me.

I've just watched her interview Alesha. They kept going on about how they haven't seen each in "Five years" "Five years". I thought it would be really awkward but they seemed to get on. I sense that they bonded off camera in their mutual hate of Sabrina.

Does anyone know why Zena left Mis-teeq anyway? She sang co-lead on Why with Sabrina...can anyone say Easther Bennett?

From what I have heard she quit because she "hated garage" and was "more of a r 'n' b chick", also she had the best voice so all the others hated her (Sabrina could barely sing a note afterall).

Lisa Mafia is a presenter aswell. It seems like it's going to become a refuge for failed British r 'n' B vocalists. I fear Kelle Bryan is going to turn up in some capacity shortly. A health and fitness show from Shola Ama would be AMAZING though.

Former Misteeq member Su-Elise Nash has signed a new record deal with indie label Genetic Records, who also have R&B band Big Brovaz after they were dropped Sony Music UK few years back.

Scroll down to August 2nd in the news bit for confirmation.
I knew she'd been working on her album for a while, but she never said nothing about being signed.

Oh dear, I can't see this going to well.
Whatever happened to Sabrina? Apart from changing her name, wasn't she meant to be releasing some material soon?

A lot of the old Mis-Teeq fans never really took to 'Pocket Rocket'. And she disowned and ignored her fans, so a lot of us are pretty pissed at her.
Not sure what she's playing at, but the smell of success isn't drifting about.

"Puma" added me on MySpace, I found that quite disturbing. Her material wasn't that good anyway, Pocket Rocket was just a bad rip off of that Suzanne Vega song that everyone copies.

I remember them talking about their 3rd album, or whatever one it was with scandalous and they were saying that Su-elise was singing some verses on her own as if it was a fucking miracle, like she had just climbed mount everest 4 times in 2 days.

Flop!

Sabrina should be launching properly around February/March ish.

As for the Su-Elise news I am really really happy. I want to see what the girl comes up with. She has got a really deep husky voice and the parts she actually sings ( I know its not a lot!) I really like. Im thinking a Kelis-esque kinda approach to production and stuff.. hopefully she wont go down the sickly RnB route.

Altogether now... "it's a one night stand!"

This won't be less than amazing, I can just feel it.

I admire your optimism, but Alesha was always the interesting one and even she didn't make it. The quiet ones certainly don't.

Well we know that, but it's certainly intriguing. It would be amazing if she emerged as a genuine pop force to be reckoned with.

I'm still upset about Alesha. She's one of the biggest talents of the last ten years in pop. Rachel, any news on the album?

I don't think I'll ever get over the Alesha flop. Pop is a cruel world.

I think Su-Elise will suprise everyone. She is a business woman at heart, she wouldn't put anything random now, she will know what she is aiming for I think...

In other words she's looked at Alesha and thought: "That's how NOT to do it."
