Dr. William Muir mutilated me. I was told it would be a simple surgery and I could possibly be 70 to 80% better. After he performed this surgery on me I was a hundred times worse after the surgery. His own assistant Told me that he made an error during the surgery and tore out too much scar tissue causing him to have it at another cage. Since this time I have went downhill and can barely get around anymore! I would not Recommend him to anyone not even my dog! Thanks Dr mirror for mutilating me!

My experience with Josh was great but he left before my surgery. Dr. Muir did not see me at all in the hospital following my back surgery, it was his physician assistant Christine who I liked. I HAD 3 Follow up appointments with her then finally the 4 was with Dr. Muir. I was experiencing a lot of extra pain cause I fell and twisted and he was unconcerned. So much so that he cut my pain meds in half both in strength and dosage. Let me add I am not yet 4 months after this major surgery. So I called when I was having a really bad day with the pain and this rude male nurses assistant told me to go see my pain management doctor . I was not asking for more pain meds I was asking what else I could do since they reduced the strength and amount of my pain meds. He was super rude and does not care about me and my suffering. I would Not recommend this Dr to anyone! He can't be bothered to even check on you after he performs surgery on you. His male wanna be nurse's attitude sucks and I hope he gets to see what it is like to be in constant pain and then deal with rude staff who don't care

I never had a problem seeing Dr. W. Muir. He's the best of the best and you can't find anybody better in Las Vegas. The only problem I had was when we talked about me having surgery, he discussed everything thoroughly and when it came to the time I said that I would have surgery, he said he couldn't do it because it was too difficult. Although he did say there was a Doctor that could do the surgery but he did not recommend it. I wish he would have told me earlier because he knew on the onset that surgery couldn't happen. He had my hopes up but after him telling me that it was too difficult to have it done, I was sad. He does not have a good bed side manner, but after you meet with him a few times you can tell that he truly does care about his patients, he just doesn't show it. Most of time I saw his son Jeffrey Muir who is a pain doctor and I can't say enough on how wonderful he is. He moved to northern Nevada and I was terribly sad to see him go. He hugged me the last time I saw him and he gave me a name of another pain doctor and even though he has more experience, Dr. Jeffrey Muir is so much better. If you're unsure about Dr. W. Muir, his credentials and experience tells it all. I wish he could have done the surgery for me as I still have back pain problems and will be on continued innovative surgery for the rest of my life. The staff is great and in fact, after seeing so many Doctors in Las Vegas, I would say the staff is one of the best I've seen!!! I never had to wait and they knew me when I came in and that means a lot to me. As I mentioned, the staff and Dr. Muir are excellent. I would recommend him.

For my initial appointment in January 2014 I saw Dr Muir after a recommendation from a friend who had had her spine successfully fused by him. I was very encouraged by this appointment and felt I had found a good place for care when Dr Muir said surgery would be my last option and avoided at all costs. I have continued my treatment under the care of Josh Covington since that time and have not seen Dr Muir again as I have not required surgery. I experience Josh Covington to be a very approachable, caring and interested Physician's Assistant who takes the time to listen to me and answer any questions I may have. He has given me cortisone injections over the last year (and hopefully will continue to do so over the upcoming year) which have enhanced my day to day living without any negative effect. I have found that I trust Josh Covington's view and advice in regards to my back problem and treatment which is very important and reassuring to me as his patient. Although I do not recall his name I have found the anaesthetist to be very professional and approachable man who makes me feel at ease every time I go for injections. Along with Josh, I think he is also an asset to Dr Muir. My only niggle with this establishment is how difficult I experience getting an appointment to be. In the past I have often left many messages over many days before I get a call back. One time after several days had passed and I was in severe pain, I was so fed up with the poor service that I asked the receptionist to speak to Dr Muir directly to get an appointment, needless to say I had an appointment within 10 minutes of asking this! Its my view that the appointment booking process could be more efficient and when my pain is high and getting an appointment is hard I often feel like leaving but I do not go elsewhere because I want to continue my care with Josh Covington who I trusts works in my best interest. If he ever were to leave I would hope to follow him as his patient to continue my care and would recommend him highly to anyone. The rating you see on my post is for Josh Covington as I have only seen Dr Muir once. The rating for staff and helpfulness reflect my view on the admin staff.

I would have to agree with some of the previous comments left concerning Josh Covington (the Physician's Assistant) he is very caring and sincere. He offered much more help and one on one time, while Dr.Muir seems far too disinterested in his patients. Thanks Josh, you are a kind person in the right profession. I hope that Dr. Muir will learn by example from his associates.

In my profession I have encountered individuals who have not been satisfied with a specialist, feeling that the specialist is too busy to truly take the time to show compassion, which leads me to relate my experience of a few years ago. When I returned home from deployment; I had serious back pain, radiating down to my feet. I went to my PCM and he referred me to a specialist near my residence and a facility further away from my residence. I researched what I could find out about the ortho specialist near my home town and then continued to research what I could find out about Dr. Muir’s practice. Although Dr. Muir was difficult to see at the time I was able to schedule an appointment with his Physician Assistant, Josh Covington. Josh examined me and helped me get an appointment with Dr. Muir. I was treated at first, with conservation measures numerous times, which only seemed to provide temporary relief, eventually leading to surgery. I have to admit, the staffs at times were short with me, yet I was very comfortable and satisfied with the surgery performed. Dr Muir did a follow-up exam, but I was cared for and monitored by his PA, Josh Covington; who was interested in my physical welfare and recovery program, who to me seemed was more interested in my physical welfare and recovery program. Josh always took the time to explain to me what was required and expect, not only for surgery and the implications of surgery, but ensured I totally understood what I would have to do to recover and have a better quality of life. I really appreciated the attitude Josh attended to me throughout my progress, throughout the pass years – it is a great comfort to know there is someone like Josh that really cares for individuals and is compassionate enough to help them, no matter what his work load entails. I will always appreciate and remember Josh for sincerity and Dr. Muir’s foresight to have Josh on his staff. Would I recommend Dr Muir staff, yes; but I would highly encourage his patients to seek out and ask specifically for Josh Covington-PAC
