The restaurant is located in the space which formerly housed Honolulu's venerable Café Miro for 23 years. Similar to its predecessor, Miro Kaimuki features a French-inspired menu punctuated with Japanese flavors and techniques. So pleased to return to Miro for the fourth time. Miro is perhaps most evocative of a Michelin-aspiring restaurant in a modern European capital, with some local touches. The chef and staff care deeply about what they serve and clearly a huge amount of thought and effort is invested in the set menu meal. It is a consistently high-quality experience with friendly, engaged staff and beautifully-presented dishes. The only room for improvement is in the dining room decor, where there are no soft surfaces to absorb sound. As a result, the dining room can become extremely loud when it's full, and noises echo off the floor, walls, and ceiling. In any case I am looking forward to my next visit.

Take a seat at the bar and let Michael and Ross look after you. Informative and fun, they want you to enjoy a great night out. The restaurant was full and had a great atmosphere. Food was so tasty and we really looked forward to every course! Even the bread is out of this world. Highly recommend if you are in Waikiki spending $10 on an Uber and experiencing the local cuisine.

Excellent place to eat by star chef and team. Set menu, but they will make adjustments on request and if you let them know in advance. I have a gluten and egg intolerance and they were very accommodating. I normally don’t do it, but the wine pairing is very good. I made an adjustment, but had to admit the original pairing was better (which doesn’t happen often ;)). They do a lot with vegetables! If you let them know beforehand, they can do the whole meal vegan or vegetarian. This place is definitely worth the detour. Michelin star quality.
