Biography

  • Miranda Lambert (born November 10th 1983) is an American country music star from Longview, Texas, USA, who first gained success after becoming a finalist on the 2003 season of Nashville Star.

Lambert began her career at a young age, appearing at various talent shows in Texas, eventually acquiring a recording session in Nashville, US. She also fronted the house band of the Reo Palm Isle in her hometown of Longview for a period, the same place where Brooks & Dunn had first began their career.

Having won the talent competition, Nashville Star, Lambert went on to sign with Epic Records, releasing her debut album "Kerosene" in 2005. The album was highly successful, debuting at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, eventually gaining Platinum certification, selling over one million copies. The album produced four top 40 singles on the Billboard Country charts.

She continued the success of "Kerosene" with her second full length album, "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (2007), topping the country album charts and reaching number six on the Billboard 200 charts. Her album also won album of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM). She was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for her single "Kerosene."

Her third album, "Revolution" received critical acclaim upon its release, proving her talent as a songwriter. The album's second single "White Liar" was a a top five hit, reaching number two on the Billboard's Hot Country chart, with a number one achieved later with her third single "The House That Built Me." Her talents were awarded with a Grammy Award in 2011, for Vest Female Country Vocal Performance for the single. Two more releases maintained Lambert's stature and respect in the world of country music, fairing well in the US charts.

Speaking of her music, Lambert said "I don't write about angels, Jesus, happy days, kids. I grew up on drinkin', cheatin', love gone bad." This describes her brand of country music well, as it is not happy-go-lucky country pop, instead it is more serious tales of hardship, performed with her powerful voice.

  • Miranda Lambert

Nashville certainly did find a star in Miranda Lambert. Since breaking into the mainstream with the rocking riffs of "Kerosene," Lambert hasn't slowed down a second.

Following her debut, Lambert has rounded out her sound so well, not one lady in country music right now can come close to her style. With songs such as "Gunpowder & Lead" and "Baggage Claim," she has brought back the lady outlaw style, the likes of which which we haven't seen since the golden days of Jessi Colter and Emmylou Harris. Now, as the current queen of country, Lambert's performances are a force to be reckoned with. In just the first few seconds of her set, Lambert will often captivate her sold out audience with the ever allusive intro to "Mama's Broken Heart." She'll then follow with crowd-pleasing, small town anthems, such as "All Kinds of Kinds" and "Only Prettier." Though the sound differs exponentially, Lambert's sassy southern charm will fit right in with tear-jerking ballads, such as "Over You." And let us not forget that Lambert often brings her partners in crime on the road with her, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley, better known as the Pistol Annies. These three ladies provide a seductive, sometimes scary addition to Lambert's typical setlist, one any music lover should regret missing. With the release and success of Lambert's fifth studio album, "Platinum," it doesn't seem that this lady outlaw is stopping any time soon, proving country music is truly running with the fastest girl in town.

  • Miranda Lambert is known as one of the hardest working women in country music. A genre that is often dominated by men, Lambert holds her own with her rock heavy sounds and energetic live performance. Often onstage for close to two hours, the front woman does not stand still for a moment as she conducts her tight live band through a setlist of hits.

Her fans enthusiasm spurs the singer on to rock out harder as with guitar in hand she really adds some grunge and noise to tracks such as 'Platinum' and 'Priscilla'. A great rapport is built early on with her crowd as she regales them with stories of her beginnings and the meanings behind some of her most infamous hits such as 'Kerosene'.

She also dedicates some of her more heartfelt work such as 'The House That Built Me' to her husband Blake Shelton who she assures the audience has supported her throughout her career. A rip stomping version of one of her most recognisable songs 'White Liar' brings an enjoyable and unexpectedly raucous show to a close.

  • on 21st August 2017 I attend Miranda Lambert concert, the concert very good, I'm very new to listening to Miranda and only have the last two albums. Therefore some of the songs were new to me. However I was disappointed how concert ended, Miranda left the stage and presumed she would return to perform an encore. How ever with the crowd shouting More,More. However she never came back on stage. Having been looking forward to concert and enjoying the majority of it. It ended disappointingly. Her band were very good and Miranda did try her best to encourage to get up and dance and enjoy themselves and most people were. Overall very good and would go back to see her, but the fact no encore was disappointing and I presume the decision is her.

  • Such a great line up of talent on the Keeper of the Flame tour...Brothers Osbourne, Kip Moore & Miranda... All superstars in their own right but Miranda definitely shined the brightest. She is just crazy talented and a badass to boot. I'm older than her but I still want to be her when I grow up! Best moment of the concert for me was when she pulled a sign up from a soldier in the audience that said "Three combat tours. Your voice was the last thing I listened to every night. THANK YOU!" Miranda cried and everyone in the audience cried with her. It was just a very real moment. It was an amazing night!!

  • Show was absolutely 100% awesome!! Miranda put on one helluva show. She sang a great mix of her older songs along with her new songs recently released on her Wildcard album. She was full of energy and kept the crowd involved during the show.

Maren Morris was before Miranda and she was also great. She also revealed that she was pregnant which was kinda cool.

If I had to rate this concert on a scale of 1-10, I would give it a 9.8 since I don’t believe anyone is ever perfect. If you haven’t seen her in concert, I would definitely recommend you purchase tickets and go see her energy packed show!

  • Epic show in a excellent venue!

Ward Thomas is very promising indeed, the twin sisters did a fine job as support-act.

Miranda was excellent, great show full of energy. It was her first time in The Netherlands and she was a little nervous at the beginning of the show. But the enthusiastic reception of the Dutch fans calmed her nerves quickly. Lot's of hits, room for emotional songs as well. Had a blast!

Nice review (in dutch) here: https://country-music.nl/miranda-lambert-en-ward-thomas-live-in-caprera-bloemendaal/

  • Wow....this was my second live performance to see Miss Miranda in person !!! She commands the stag with grace and talent beyond belief. She's spot on on every song. One right after the other. Her play set got the crowd going. Singing along to every word. Couldn't have been a better evening (she even got the rain to stop) on my 61st bday....can't thank her enough for spending her life singing to us...three bars and the truth. She's America's Sweetheart!!!!

  • I've seen 100's of concerts. Anything from metal to classical and Miranda Lambert is my favorite artist in concert. Her shows get better every time I see her. The shows are well produced but Miranda makes the show feel like you're all just hanging out jamming in the garage. She takes a large arena and makes it an intimate setting. The sound quality of her shows is second to none. You can even hear the high hat from the drummer!

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Miranda always has an amazing show and definitely makes sure her fans have a great time. Filling the “Little Red Wagon” for “Mutt Nation” was a pleasure. Miranda definitely cares deeply for dogs and her fans make sure they do their part to help fill that wagon with dog food, toys, treats and monetary donations. Miranda, thank you for all you do for Mutt Nation!!! We LOVE you!!!

  • Miranda last night was energetic, smiling, crying, heart-felt and all around wonderful. I have now seen her three times--and I think it had to do with where I was last night. I was in the Pit--standing room only with my friends and we had an absolute blast! She was so close and you could really feel her energy. She was terrific--if you can, splurge and get floor tickets. You will not be disappointed!
