Mikhail Iaroslavich Khorobrit

 

(Mikhail the Brave). Year of birth unknown; died 1248. Prince of Moscow from 1247; one of the younger brothers of Alexander Nevsky. In 1248 he took possession of Vladimir and became grand prince of that territory. He was killed in battle against the Lithuanians on the Protva River.
