For the fans of the Midnight Sons novels this is a cute ending. Since we read about Scott and Chrissie as children and Scott professing that one day he would marry Chrissie it was cute to see it happen. The begging her to forgive him for his stupidity didn't occur which should have happened before hand. That was my only disappointment. It was a cute little read. There is no falling in love in the book you just start the book out assuming that they both are already in love.

I was excited to visit Hard Luck again, and see Chrissie and Scott all grown up. I loved checking in with all the characters that had become so dear to me, and was happy to imagine all of them growing and thriving. Because so much time was spent revisiting our old friends, the actual story of Chrissie and Scott felt a little rushed...but I expected as much, and still enjoyed it tremendously. I was pleasantly surprised to learn of this book's existence (I didn't think I'd ever see any of these characters again!) and it made my heart happy to see how everything turned out.

This was a cute read by Debbie Macomber. It's the concluding book to the Midnight Sons series and it tells the story of Scott and Chrissy- the two children of Abby and Sawyer. First I will admit that it helps if you read this series from the beginning to the end. It will just make the series more special!

They are adults now. Chrissie and Scott. He has broken her heart twice and she is guarding it now that he is home for good. No matter how hard he tries she won't let him get close again. Kind of sad because it tells of some of the things that have happened through the years. Babies born, kids from first book all grown up and who they married and who is retiring.
Fitting end. Loved it.

Not a happy camper

Usually I love her books. This one was just irritating. Both main characters personalities left a lot to be desired. He was so smug after he had treated her like dirt not once but twice. She was just wishy washy and in need of a good slap upside her head. And the ending!!!????!!!!

2.5 stars A cute epilogue to the series, but not really much of a story on it's own. A full-length novel with some depth to what had happened over the nearly 20 years since the previous book ended would have been nice.

Finally

Loved the setting in Alaska and the characters were thoroughly engaging. At one point with all of the mis-communication I really thought they weren’t going to finally get together. Forgiveness can walk a fine line but true love is opened ended.

On again, off again relationship

Scott and Chrissie had a relationship in high school that didn't end well. Even though they loved each other life kept getting in the way. The setting in Alaska is great and in enjoyed the building of the story, but it ended rather abruptly.

Great

As always Debbie Macomber writes amazing love stories. I felt like she writing a message to me. Not sure how I feel about her message but will try to understand that there is always something good in my life.

Boy gets girl

Another great story. The typical love story with a twist. Set in beautiful Alaska this story was well written and had you wondering if they would finally come to their senses.

A light, easy, fun romance read! I enjoyed this light-hearted, clean short romance story. I guess it could even be entitled, "Full Circle." First loves go the long way around to find each other, both with their own sets of baggage and hurt. A fun read!

This wraps up the series with a sweet story of its own. The children are all grown up and starting their own lives, and through them we get to see all the characters we fell in love with along the way. I highly enjoyed!

Quick but funny read. Chrissie is determined not to let her guard down around Scott. He thinks she is flying to Fairbanks to meet a boyfriend. Boy, does he get jealous. I laughed at the last 2 pages.

Novella of two of the younger characters from Hard Luck, Alaska. Just a smattering teasing little bit of their struggles and loves. It would have been nice to have completed the story in full, but I guess it was time to close it. This was a delightful series all total. 12/24/22 - 12/25/22

Love the Midnight Sons series

My 2nd favorite Debbie series. As in all of the other Hard Luck books, this doesn't disappoint. Highly recommend reconnecting with these characters.

This was an easy read and a “feel good” book. I wish it had been longer, or at least not ended so abruptly

Very short book. I felt like this book was kind of thrown in to round out the Midnight Sons series. It did not need it.

Very nice read

Loved the story line. How she finally could love again.
Laughing thinking how they both still loved each other but didn't want to emit they do
