"Falling For Him"
Christian O'Halloran has clashed with Mariah Douglas ever since she started working as a secretary for Midnight Sons. She always messes things up when he's around and Christian would love to see Mariah leave. She's in no hurry to leave since she secretly in love with Christian, but soon the work situation is too much for Mariah to handle and she starts looking for other opportunities. Will Christian realize that he is in love with Mariah before it is too late?
Debbie Macomber hinted at a Christian/Mariah romance in the earlier books in the Midnight Sons series and fans of those books will not be disappointed in "Falling For Him". It is a very cute and amusing romance. Readers know exactly how Mariah feels about Christian and will sympathize with her as she struggles with the decision to try to win Christian's heart or leave Hard Luck. Readers will especially enjoy watching Christian gradually realize he has feelings for Mariah - it is amusing, yet frustrating at times as you want to shake some sense into him.
"Ending in Marriage"
Mariah's friend, Seattle attorney Tracy Santiago, clashes with pilot Duke Porter every time they meet. Tracy is a feminist and Duke believes a woman's place is in the kitchen. Some people suspect that Tracy and Duke actually enjoy their arguments, but they disagree. When circumstances force the two to spend some time together sparks really fly between them. But can these two completely different people put their differences aside and find true love?
Like the Mariah/Christian romance, the Tracy/Duke romance had been building up during the course of the Midnight Sons books and "Ending in Marriage" brings their romance to a satisfying conclusion. The circumstances that ultimately bring Tracy and Duke together are a bit of a cliché, but Macomber works her magic and makes the story line seemed fresh and believable and it will warm readers hearts. In addition to the Tracy/Duke Romance, there is a second, somewhat unexpected, but very cute romance.
"Midnight Sons and Daughters"
Growing up together, Chrissie Harris was convinced she'd end up marrying Scott O'Halloran one day, but Scott broke her heart not once but twice, and she was glad when he left Hard Luck. Now Scott is back and wants to show Chrissie he has changed - but he may be too late.
"Midnight Sons and Daughters" is a nice bonus story that neatly wraps up the Midnight Sons series. At first I was a bit disappointed in how Scott had changed as a character (as a child he was the loose thread that bound the entire series together), but he soon redeemed himself. It is nice to revisit characters from the earlier books and see what they're up to. My one complaint about the story is that it is far too short. Chrissie and Scott's story easily could have been longer - instead Scott's actions are summed up in a few sentences. Too bad, because there is a rich storyline there.
"Midnight Sons, Volume 3" is a wonderful collection of stories by Debbie Macomber. I'm sorry to see the adventures in Hard Luck end.
"Falling for Him" Midnight Sons secretary Mariah Douglas is a complete klutz around Christian O'Halloran. Always losing his messagesm misplacing things. After she leaves her job, Christian begins to realize just how important Miriah is to his.
"Endging in Marriage" Duke Porter and Tracy Santiago can't stand each other, but after surviving a plane crash will the Seattle lawyer and bush pilot be able to make a go of it?
"Midnight Sons and Daughters" is a bonus story that the grown up Scott O'Halloran and Chrissie Harris. Will to people that were kids together be able to have a future together?
"Midnight Son volume 3 was pretty good book. While I didn't read volume 2, this didn't leave me confused about what was happening in volume 3. The characters were good and stories were okay. Overall Midnight Sons volume 3 was decent book but its not keeper.
