The national flag carrier of Lebanon, Middle East Airlines (ME) is based in Beirut and operates from a hub at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY). The airline, which was founded in 1945, is a member of the SkyTeam alliance. It flies to about 35 destinations in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa, and also offers charter flights. Middle East Airlines also has codeshare agreements with about 10 other carriers. Its fleet of 17 aircraft features two cabins: Cedar Class, which is the equivalent of Business Class, and Economy Class. At some airports, Cedar Class passengers and elite frequent fliers have access to the airline's lounge.

As a traveler and someone with a deep appreciation for the beauty of Lebanon, it pains me to recount the abysmal experience I've had with Middle East Airlines (MEA). Back in October,because what is happening in the Middle East, I cancelled my reservation with MEA. Understanding the circumstances, they provided me with credit valid until August 2024. Little did I know, this would be the beginning of a frustrating saga of unresponsiveness and apathy from MEA. For the past two months, I've tirelessly attempted to reach out to them regarding the credit they issued. Despite numerous emails sent, not a single response was received. Desperate for assistance, I even resorted to contacting them through WhatsApp, only to be met with a dismissive reply instructing me to email them, which I had already done multiple times. What's more disheartening is the complete lack of empathy and professionalism exhibited by MEA staff. From the grumpy faces at the airport to the indifferent attitude towards customer queries, it's evident that customer satisfaction is not a priority for MEA. As an Egyptian who holds Lebanon in high regard and has longed to visit, this experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth. MEA's incompetence and disregard for customer concerns are not only discouraging but also damaging to Lebanon's tourism industry, especially during these challenging times. I sincerely hope that MEA realizes the importance of customer service and makes a concerted effort to improve. Lebanon deserves better.…

Very bad checkin service and baggage We booked extra kg and they told us we had to take on 2 bags and we had 3 we had to chuck 1 bag they told us we had 4 min until our plane goes and then we waited 1 hour and 30 untold the gate opens and inflight entertainment really bad and the food was dry disgusting there was hair in it .and the pilot doesn’t know how to land the plane Properly and seats are dirty broken screen…

I’m just not understanding the unbelievable increase in the prices of tickets. We used to book our trips to Lebanon from UAE to be always here but after covid all prices went crazy. Surprisingly we can now on other airlines book tickets for all of us with the fair of one ticket on mea with the same privileges and services. Also note that we are not the first people to attend and talk about this issue, it’s been heard a lot lately.…
