How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

Great condition, so glad this excellent book was available in such great condition, despite being printed 51 years ago! It will be well used by a musician intent on learning all they can. And I appreciated the thoughtful handwritten note from the seller.

Mickey "Guitar" Baker and I share the same hometown, Louisville, Kentucky. We both play guitar and love the African-American musical tradition. And there we part company as he is a genius and I am a guy writing for Amazon on-line while struggling professionally.
Baker may very well be the Most Influential Guitarist of the post WW2 era. Top that, eh? Other than Wrecking Crew pickers like Tommy Tedesco and Glen Campbell no one could seriously be mentioned as having played on more hip, HIT records than Mickey Baker. Baker played more tasty fills and beautifully melodic, rhythmic solos on more important R&B, blues, soul and jazz platters than you or I have had hot dinners. Generations of Stevie Ray Vaughns have learned from his guitar instruction books and if you are a smart guy you can too.
