This should be a bucket list location for all history buffs. It has so much more than planes, trains, and automobiles. So many historical items as well..my favorites being the chair in which Lincoln was shot at Ford's Theater and the bus that Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat in resulting in her arrest. As a race fan, the race cars were a favorite. The presidential cars were a must see also. When I visited. there was an exhibit of Hallmark ornaments over the years which brought back many memories of Christmases past with ornaments I remember having on my family's tree. If you are visiting the Henry Ford and want to see more than the museum, I recommend 1 full day for the museum, 1 full day for Greenfield village, a half day for the Rouge Factory Tour, and a half day for the movie experience if you choose do that also. There is a 2 day ticket for the museum and village which includes the movie experience and a discount on the factory tour. For lunch, we ate at Lumy's Diner where they claim to be a 1940's diner where everything is as it was in yesteryear, everything that is, but the price. No diet soda because there wasn't any back then so if you are diabetic like the person I was with, then you get water or nothing. The food was good though and the wait wasn't too bad. I look forward to visiting again someday as I know there was so much that we missed seeing.

We had a wonderful visit. There is a lot of walking if you want to cover the whole garden. We tried to do one big loop, but you have to do some zig zagging to see it all. Really a fantastic place. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The cafeteria is above average in quality and selections.

Made a trip here recently with family and friends and was very happy with our visit. Easy to get to from the western burbs. $7 to park was a fair price to pay as the lot was across the street from the rear entrance to the building. Free to get in as we were Wayne and Oakland county residents. Very friendly staff. Far too many exhibits to see in one day so we plan on going back. Something for all ages. DIA cafe is a small, quiet space allowing you to enjoy a coffee, pastry, or other refreshment. The Kresge Court has a nice selection of hot or cold foods including soups, sandwiches, salads, and daily specials. We enjoyed our meal there. I had not been here in a very long time and was very pleased with the trip. Am looking forward to venturing back and seeing some of what we missed. Definitely a go to place in my book.

Well worth a visit - pretty, colourful, great views over Lake Superior, dramatic, steep cliffs (for people to fool around on or be sensible - we examples of both). Nice Birdlife if you looked carefully.

Fortunately it was not peak Summer, as we could imagine this place would a very different experience when swamped with people. Roads are not geared to speedsters or the impatient.

This is oriented to the ramblers and space-relishers amongst us.

It's surreal to imagine that this non-descript house in Detroit has been the source of so much music that conveyed all the human emotions, joy, sadness, doubt, hope. The music has spread beyond Detroit, beyond Michigan, beyond America. My eyes were opened as to how Berry Gordy along with his team turned talented neighborhood kids into stars and icons for decades. The starts with a small introduction from the guide, who charismatic and engaging, then we toured the house, with the grand finale at the recording room.

This is a neat rock formation with incredible views. Glad we walked up the stairs to see it. Makes a great photo op too! We thought it was worth it.

This place is beautiful, well kept, and huge, bring good waking shoes and look for a cool day. Food is pretty good, but could be better. History is wonderful, buildings were fun, the museum was a sort of collage of interesting stuff, leaning, of course, to cars and big machines. Visit!

Took my Wife to the Ballgame and we had great seats, and a great time. While in attendance if we had any questions or needed anything the staff at the park was happy to help.
