LOS ANGELES -- The 23-year-old son of entertainers Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme died of a heart disorder last month, coroner's officials said Thursday.
Michael Robert Lawrence died Feb. 5 after being brought unconscious to UCLA Medical Center, where doctors treated him for an critical irregular heartbeat.

Coroner's spokesman Bob Dambacher said Lawrence's death was due to natural causes, specifically an abnormal heart function. There was no evidence of drugs or alcohol in Lawrence's body, he said.
Lawrence was working as assistant film editor on the television show 'It's a Living' at the time of his death.
