Michael John Martin, of Clinton Township, Michigan, passed away on March 19, 2024 at the age of 66. Michael is the cherished husband for 42 years of Linda; the loving father of Karl Martin and Kevin Martin; and the beloved brother of Lisa (John) LeFevre.
Michael as born on June 5, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan. Growing up, Michael was proud to be a boy scout. He graduated from Berkley High School where he played football, baseball, and music (he was a first chair trumpet player). Michael attended Zion Lutheran Church in Ferndale.
Michael enjoyed people, and often thrived in social settings. One was never a stranger for long. People often felt at ease around him with his humor and quick wit. Michael loved his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking for any occasion, and would grill at family gatherings. Michael was a proud 3rd generation member at the Lost Lake Woods Club in Lincoln, Michigan. There you could find him hunting, fishing, camping, or golfing. He also enjoyed attending the hydroplane races on the Detroit River.
Continuing his dedication to the Boy Scouts, Michael was a Scoutmaster for Troup #146 and saw both of his boys through becoming Eagle Scouts, which was a very proud moment for him.
Michael will be laid to rest at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy, Michigan. A celebration of life service will be held in June.
