We grew up together in Kalamazoo and I remember Mike as a beautiful mensch- fun and interesting.such a fine human being. His mother as gracious, smart and lovely and his dad as a loving and proud father and husband - always with a smile and joke for me. Andrew and I were in the same class - I was so glad to have him as a friend and send my deepest sympathies. Remembering the whole family with fondness.

I worked for Mike at the annual oyster fest as a shucker for 5 years. I only saw him for that one day, five times. And yet he made such an impression on me that I was heartbroken when I heard the news that he had passed. A good and kind man, I send all my condolences to his family and friends. Chicago has lost a good person.

What a wonderful son and father Michael was. Our hearts go out to Edith, our neighbor and friend, who was blessed with the devotion of this kind and loving man. The world is a better place because Michael made it so. Such a tragic loss. - Dorothy and Larry Pirovano

Michael was one of the kindest, most genuine people I've ever known. We shared a birthday, as well as many good times, I haven't seen him for such a long time, but I'm so glad our paths crossed all those years ago. My deepest sympathies to his family & friends.

We were very shocked and saddened to hear about Mike's passing. We were longtime patrons of Jak's Tap and are relative newcomers to Village Tap (upon Jak's closure).
Upon first meeting him, we could tell right away what a genuine guy Mike was. He always had a smile and a few words, no matter how busy he might be. He was just a pleasure to be around. He made our world a little better place for having had him in it. We only wish we could've had the chance to thank him for that. We shall raise a glass to him and know that he is with us in spirit.
To Cindy, and to the entire Green family, our deepest condolences.
