Fred Green Obituary

GREEN, Fred Age 64, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by those he loved. Fred leaves us to join his father Dale, his first wife and love Diana, and brother Terry. He is survived by his loving and supportive wife Lisa, mother Ryoko, son Jason (Dana), daughter Brooke (Chris) Brown; step-sons David (Kristen) Reed and Michael (Jenna) Reed; grandchildren Trenton, Emily, Andrew, Zachary, Sydney, Devin and Jordynn; brother Bill (Connie) Green, sister Linda (Ray) Kinney; nieces and nephews Dustin, Sean, Ranae, Jake, Michael (Canaday), Randy, Grant, Kelsey, Pierce, Kristal and Chase; father-in-law and mother-in-law Ed and Sue Brennan, sisters-in-law Mary (Jeff) Hughes, Lori Putman; brothers-in-law Terry (Susan) Brennan and Ronnie Thomas; and Tink, man's best friend and protector; and finally many friends. Fred was an independent grocer and owner of the Camden IGA in Camden, Ohio. He was a member of the American Legion Post 165 and Miamisburg Moose Lodge 1645. He was active in both the Miamisburg and Camden communities. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed a well played round of golf with friends and family. He was also an active bowler in an area league. A famous quote reads, " I never met a man I did not like." There was never a man who did not like Fred. His smile, laughter, love, supportive words and actions will be sorely missed by those whose lives he touched. His legacy is the love of his family, friends, and a life fulfilled. A memorial service followed by a celebration of life will be held March 12, 2017 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at the Miamisburg Moose Lodge located at 2110 East Central Avenue, Miamisburg, Ohio 45342. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Dayton.

Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to hear of Fred's passing. It was a pleasure to work with him in the food industry as competing sales reps and calling on him at the Camden store in the "old days". He will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to the family during this most difficult time.

This man gave me my first tax paying job when I was in high school. I loved it there he was an awesome person to work for actually cared for his employees and actually talked to them. Not only that but this man gave me a second chance without even thinking about it. I was not smart and just up and quit not thinking. I went back thinking it was a long shot but gave me my job back. Camden sure will miss you Mr green. Fly high with those wonderful angels your in a much more peaceful place. R.I.P

From the time Fred was diagnosed with his terminating cancer i often thought about what words I would put together that would represent or even compare to the man he was. There are special people who come to our lives that impact us in ways we never could imagine. Fred was genuinely a soul that would always lend a helping loving hand for his friends and family. He was such a strong person for helping raise all of us children and was always happy to see us. I cant remember a time when i wasn't greeted with his big Hello and smiling face, it was contagious..he would always make me smile. I loved him like my very own father, knowing that he is in peace now just walking along the side of all of us, protecting us and looking over his grandchildren brings peace to my heart. This I know he would not want us to ache over for he did live a beautiful life. His wonderful and caring wife, children and grandchildren may you always remember the light he was in our lives.

So true the statement of- - Fred never met a Man/Women he did not like. I grew up with Fred, he was a classmate of my Brother John, I was one with his brother Bill, Was also friends with his late brother Terry and friends with his sister Linda. So his passing has touched not only myself but so many who were friends with the Green family. My heart goes to them. Fred had kindness for people, pets and life. He will be missed.

We are so sorry to hear about Fred. What a wonderful person. His smile always would always light up a room. Fred live just up the street from us at the corner of Evans and Fairway, we lived on the corner of Wise and Evans. Fred was always down at our house and all of our friends would gather on Friday nights to watch late nights, eat and raise heck outside in the street. He will be greatly missed. Becki(Smith)Sauer, Barb Smith & Sue (Smith) Reagan. Rest in peace and dance on the streets of glory. May God bless the family.
