Cancelled my appointment that I have had for months 2 weeks before so he can go on vacation. Offered me another appointment in 2 more months. Doesn't respect your time

I can hear again! Thank you Gottlieb! I actually enjoyed the visit.

Personable, direct, thorough, addressed the issue, prescribed medication with clear instructions. Scheduled follow up for 2 weeks, at which time biopsies may be necessary for a tongue lesion.

Just likes to charge YOU and your insurance for test and office visits !!!!!!

In addition to bedside manner, I made an appointment specifically for a 6 month hearing exam, took time off of work and when I arrived that day, there wasn't an audiologist to do the testing. I waited an extra 45 minutes past my appointment time as well. A wasted morning/afternoon. Patients have to pay for a no show appointment, how about someone paying me $80 for MY time that was wasted? It's just as valuable.

I have had sinus trouble for two years. Dr. Gottlieb told me there is nothing that I can do about it and that that there is a good chance it will never get any better. I respect his medical opinion, but his attitude is very poor. He was curt and very dismissive of the problem. Each visit felt very rushed. He spends most of the appointment pecking away loudly on his computer without making eye contact, asking me questions that I've already answered. Left the appointment feeling hopeless. Again, no judgement on his medical expertise. However, Dr. Gottlieb's bedside manner is abysmal.

I've been waiting on test results for days now i called and was told dr would call me back i am still waiting days later.

Sometimes I wonder if he remembers me from year to the next after seeing for13 years.

I went to Dr. Gottlieb twice for a case of severely swollen nasal turbinates. He first prescribed some allergy medication and sent me away. (This is the most typical cause of nasal swelling, so that was reasonable to do.) He told me to come back in 2-3 weeks if I hadn't improved. My nose was so severely stuffed that I couldn't breathe at night, and so I couldn't sleep. It wasn't allergies causing my problems, and the medications didn't work. So I showed up at Dr. Gottlieb's office 2 weeks later, and his response was a surly, "You again. You're back already?" He didn't want to discuss the cause of my stuffiness, and he certainly didn't have any sympathy for somebody that he had already labelled as a complainer who just has allergies.He clearly didn't want to spend any more time with me, so he gave me some medication samples and literally walked out the door while I was still asking questions about the drugs. I understand that his schedule is probably very busy, but I didn't consider it okay for him to ignore discussing the root of my problem and leave in the middle of my questions. (I wasn't stringing him along with 20 questions either -- I only had a couple basic questions to ask like drug interactions and frequency of use.)For anyone that wants solid, comprehensive care, I suggest UPMC ENT Mercy. Two surgeries later (and extensive background testing for allergies, infection, thyroid/adrenal function, and autoimmune diseases), I can finally breathe again -- and sleep!

has been ten days since my mri-after repeated calls to his office, he never calls back!!!!

I could not hear out of my ear - was diagnosed as skin buildup - doctor fixed it up only to have it keep recurring and I would have to go back - asked me if I wanted a hearing test and I said Ok - he said "EVERYONE" wants a hearing test - I went to another ent doctor with no fancy equipment and didnt need to go back for over a year - I personally don't recommend this doctor

Dr. Gottlieb is very caring and very smart. I would highly recommend him for anyone needing an ENT doctor.

I went with a problem of ringing in my right ear.In my first visit I had an ear was (which I think is standard who ever come in).The ringing kep on persisting ...when I went for the second appointment.To my shock the entire examination lasted only 2 minutes &final answer was 'I don't know your problem'.Have decided never to go that side again.
