MGM Springfield garners praise for its attentive service and stylish decor, creating a comfortable and fun atmosphere that guests enjoy. The hotel's location is noted as convenient for exploring nearby attractions, though concerns are occasionally raised about the neighborhood. While the rooms receive accolades for cleanliness and comfort, noise levels from the streets and neighboring rooms can be an issue despite white noise machines. Amenities, including a variety of dining options, are generally appreciated, but some guests find the value diminished by high costs and limited features like the pool.

We had a wonderful stay as always. We had a Stay Well room with its own air purifier, aromatherapy, and a shower infuser that reduces chlorine, among other things. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed and fantastic pillows. Other good things: Great water pressure in the shower. Nice big TV, with an aquarium channel that was relaxing to watch before bed. We were able to check in using the app and go straight to our room. (Checkout was remote as well.) The casino has lots of slots and table games from which to choose. Casino is very clean. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. One drawback to a stay on Monday or Tuesday nights: the only available food on premises is the food court, which as of right now is just a fish & seafood place (mostly deep fried but they do have a good lobster roll) and a diner-type spot with sandwiches and burgers. Breakfast is only available from a little kiosk with pre-made breakfast sandwiches, a few baked goods, and coffee/tea. The food is decent, but if you’re staying multiple nights or making repeat visits, it gets boring! Other restaurants with greater variety are available later in the week. All in all, highly recommend!

Last week I stayed at the MGM for two days because the location was close to where I was working. I arrived late after work. When I got up to my room there were 2 cake pops displayed on the table with a hand written note wishing me happy birthday... by that time I had forgotten it was my birthday and the acknowledgement from the staff was a welcomed surprise.
This week I made a last minute reservation at MGM because I had a client who was going to be in town. I wanted an ADA room with a refrigerator because I am in a cast and ride on a knee scooter and i have medication that requires cold storage. Online the App did not show any Queen ADA rooms available. So I made a reservation for a queen room and requested a fridge. Under special requests I noted that if a Queen ADA room comes available please reserve it for me because I have a Cast and scooter.
When I checked in I Learned that they had assigned me to a Queen Suite. That was a wonderful upgrade. My client and I were very impressed by how nicely appointed the suite was. It had a luxurious Bathroom with a water closet, double vanity and extra large shower as well as an additional powder room adjacent to the seating area. The suite was beautifully furnished with a Steampunk flair. There were 2 large screen flatscreen Televisions and a bar area with a refrigerator I could not have been more pleased. The staff at the front desk was pleasant and accommodating, even offering me help with my luggage. My stay ended with several hours playing at the craps table and then taking advantage of the 50% off menu prices promotion. All around a great stay.

Hotel room was very comfortable, we rented a stay well Main St King which included an air purifier, aromatherapy machine, and shower infuser. Ear plugs were provided for the street noise but from the 5th floor we didn't really notice any. Room did not include a fridge or microwave which was disappointing for a $300 price tag. Food court had alright selections for a quick meal on our sunday night stay, but Wahlburgers and Red Rose pizzeria are right outside the doors and may have better options for you. Outdoor big screen was a nice place to watch the Cowboys game. Smoke free casino was a bonus, although we didn't do that well. They also have a movie theater.

The TV's in the rooms advertise a spa that does not exist. We found two pill capsules under the bathroom vanity. My dog had one in her mouth which could have been a massive tragedy and is obviously a testament to how poorly the room was cleaned. There was a gentleman that we gave the pills to. That was awesome. He gave us a voucher for food and beverage but most places are closed until the weekend and the marketplace food was not great. We chose this hotel because it was dog friendly and had a wedding to attend. When we leave the room we usually put the TV on low with volume. It keeps the dogs calm. They can't hear everything going on around them with the TV on but the TV's in the room have auto timers so the TV turned off while we were out and the room was so silent. You could hear a pin drop people walking the halls, cleaners cleaning the rooms making sound caused my dogs to bark. The staff member that called me was extremely rude on the phone. Told me I needed to come back immediately, asked where I was... Etc. I was totally mortified. The entire situation was completely dramatized and we were told that all sorts of guests had to be relocated from their rooms which was not true and you can tell by the color doorbells in the hallway. My fiance had to leave the wedding we were at for the rest of the night. We had just sat down for dinner. Not only was this extremely upsetting but it was a lot of wasted money. The parking garages chaos. It doesn't seem like does anybody managing it? There's all sorts of riffraff coming in at all sorts of hours of the night. It's incredibly unsettling trying to walk into the building or. You're better off staying anywhere else.

The hotel is lovely with smartly appointed rooms. A huge glass shower and classy wall art that replicates the style of the classic Brownstone apartments of the region. Room was extremely quiet although the hallways are very long with no elevators at the far end. You'll want a room with a lower number. Mine was 434 almost middle of the hall and had a small elevator close by. Any further beyond that is a hike.
Food options would be decent but virtually everything is closed. I was there mid-week so perhaps the place opens up on weekends, but my options were quite limited with what was open. Luckily the hotel is in downtown Springfield with many options off the property.
The pool area is modest but very well kept and clean. I had the entire place to myself on a cloudless, 75 degree day. The gym is open but the spa is closed.
Parking is free and plentiful but is as far from the hotel check in lobby as it could be.
Where it lets down is the casino. A single craps table open (they only have two on the main floor) despite the table being completely packed all night. From after dinner to 1am when I finally gave up, the craps table was full with more people hovering around hoping to get a spot. They absolutely refused to open a second table and just jacked up the table minimum to run off the low bettors. There were a decent number of blackjack, roulette, and other tables but only one craps table open for one of the most popular games. Like most casinos, it's 95% slot machines with some token table games. I did not see a sports book.
Positives were the drink servers who were quick and came by the tables often. Security is also very good with a strong presence and active patrols especially around the bar. The check in folks were a pleasure and took the time to point out places both on and off the property for your needs.
Lastly the casino is positioned in the center of the facility, meaning that if you are under 21 and unaccompanied- you must walk around the perimeter of the casino floor to get anywhere. Things like the food court area are a long hike around the edge of the casino if you can't just cut across it.
Overall I liked the hotel but was utterly annoyed with the casino refusing to open a second craps table despite the fact that it too would have been totally full if they had opened it. If you are a slots player though, you'll be spoiled for choice.

Our hotel room was not clean upon arrival, we called the desk and they sent a manager up. Management was very apologetic, offered us drink vouchers and we declined, all we wanted was a clean room! There was toothpaste in the bathroom sink, the toilet was not cleaned, there was dust everywhere, including the bathroom floor. There was garbage on the nightstand, NOT what you would expect from a large chain like MGM. The casino and surrounding area was not the cleanest, staff walked right past garbage on the floor.
The manager sent staff to clean our room properly and when we went back to the room, there were small hairs on the bed. And the bathroom sink water would change hot to cold without moving the handle. The place has tons of potential if they can keep it clean!!!

This is a large casino, lots of walking, floors, dizzying and slippery vinyl. Great slot choices and bars. The room was lovely, decorated in Industrial tweed theme. No coffee pots or small refrigerators in the rooms. Coffee station on a second floor hallway. Room was supposed to have a view, well it over looked a roof. Restaurants are mostly fast food in an Open Market setting. Chandlers Steak House was closed that evening. The Italian had no walls and did not look inviting at all. Beware, they charge $28 a day for valet parking, even if staying at the hotel. Drinks are comp tho if you are playing. MGM Springfield is a Hit and also a Miss.

Beautiful newish casino hotel in a not so happening part of town. The casino itself has lots of newer slot machines but the table games are only available from 10am - 4am. The hotel lobby is kitschy and adorable, looks like an antique library with floor to ceiling books and seating throughout. Only 4 floors of rooms, which were also decorated in antique kitschiness. Beautiful fixtures in the bathroom, huge flat screen tv, safe and keurig machine. Everything was clean and beautiful. The food court is open from 8am to midnight but has a very limited selection since not every eatery is open at 8. Monday- Thursday starting at 11 is Fifty Plus, where many items in the food court are available for 50%off to the 50 and over crowd. Coca Cola Freestyle machines as well as coffee is available self serve. Most likely won't return because of the limited amount of table games and minimums were $10+
